Who was able to get it booked and who wasn't? I tried several times, with no luck. Also, if you were able to use it, did you have to give a pin or did you have a pin attached to your household?

I had no pin attached to my household I just told them I had a code for the 40% promo offer. A friend of mine had to call several times before a cast member applied the code.
 
I had no PIN, I just called and told them it was my understanding there was a PIN code out there and she found one gave us the discount!:banana:

I don't know if this counts but I used the PIN code that I got via e-mail from Disney. According to Disney reservations, I didn't even have to give them the pin code because they already had it in my file.
 
I just called & got a quote, which was straight up rack, then asked if I qualified for any discounts. He looked for a few minutes & then came back with something (I didn't ask, lol). It works out to be 40% off...whatever he used!
 
I got it. I just told them that I had heard about code *** and asked if they could apply it to my stay. The first CM I got couldn't find a code, but the second one pulled it right up.
 
My husband spoke with a very nice CM tonight that was going to give us the 40% discount...we opted not to take it because we would have had to switch to CSR and it doesn't look very kid friendly, plus we would have had to give up our other code and it would have only resulted in a $200 savings. He told us that the code is available to anyone as long as it's not peak season...peak season has to have the pin. I may call back tomorrow though and check on AKL.
 
Along the same lines, those of you who were able to use it....did you already have a reservation, and just use the code to adjust it, or did you book with the code?

Likewise, did the dates of your trip fall within the dates listed or did you get it for dates outside the ones floating around?

So many rumors floating around. We've already got a trip booked for 11/23 - 12/1 (not in the dates included). Would LOVE to try to get it to go through with the code, but am not sure it would be worth it. Any thoughts?
 
I got it attached to our household via email and was able to apply it! Reservation told me the rooms are limited. This maybe why some can't use the 40% off?:confused3

I hadn't had previous reservations. I was able to book mine from Dec 17th- 31st. Past the Dec 22nd deadline only because I booked before the deal ended and received the same rate throughout my stay!

I got it applied by the 3rd CM. She said it was under an aunt's name?!? Oh well I'm just glad to have saved like $800 bucks!

I just got off the phone with CRO and had a very polite, knowledgable and chatty CM. He said he received a bulletin today about a NEW CODE on Monday. He was not able to give me "the code" today but said call back on Monday or Tuesday. HTH everyone!!!
 
I was able to get the code. SSR 2 bedroom I called for making a reservation in case free dining came out. I asked if I had a pin he said no but there was a 40% code I code use. So I saved $1,700 off of rack rate.
 
I also called last night to inquire about the 40 percent discount that some very lucky folks have received and was told to definitely keep my ears open early this coming week for discounts. The CM I spoke with said that the pin codes almost always precede a public discount but she wouldn't say what it was. I really hope that it is the same offer. She could not confirm of deny that it was. Maybe us unlucky fishies will get lucky!!:mickeyjum

The CM I spoke to first this AM said the Monday code is the same one we have all been using. I was too impatient to wait so I called back a couple of hours later and gave the code outright and got it added (finally :rotfl: )
