# of points at BCV

Does anyone have an educated guess how many points will be needed at BCV. For example, a 2 bdr at OKW in Adventure season is 22 points on weekdays and at BWV/WLV it is 30 points. I assume BCV will be at least what BWV are but does anyone think they will require a lot more points?? Thanks

Many of us were somewhat surprised when they made the points a VWL equal to preferred view at BWV. The explanation was higher building costs. No guess as to BCV except I am willing to give odds it will be at least as high as VWL and BWV.How much higher it will be is unknown. However if it is higher than BWV you get a clear conceptual problem--absent building larger rooms (which they said they were not going to do) it cannot really be any better than BWV as far as location and amenities go and unlike BWV it won't be right on the lake.

I am thinking that it may be a problem. They really should raise the price per point, but think about what that would do to VB sales...think of the MB program and the lies and fraud they could use then!!!!

I think that it may end up being DVCII. I think that they can't raise prices too much because of the dissappointing VB. They can't make the points any higher then BWV because it is not on the lake and it would definitely be a lower value for a point spent there, they can't make the points the same as BWV because that would be admitting their lie as to the point schedule at VWL.

I think they are stuck. I think it will be DVCII.

Where OKW is 218 points for an Adventure 2 BR for a week and BWV preferred and WLV are 270 for the same time, I suspect BCV will be around 290-300 for the week. That would put the one day at around 33-34 points in your scenario. The points at WLV came in much higher than expected, I would have guessed that a week in Adventure for a 2 BR would have been around 250. Even if WLV had been on target, points at BCV would have NEEDED to be higher than BWV. It's simply a more upscale resort than BW.

Another way to step up sales would be to abolish pool hoping to Stormalong bay. Though we don't use that option very often, I know it's a favorite of many and would hate to see my fellow members lose in this way.

Have there been any rumors or speculation about DVCII? How about them stopping pool hopping priviledges?

I don't think so.

If you compare apples to apples (Boardwalk Inn vs. Beach Club Resort), the rack room rates are equal to or higher at the BW. The BWI is considered a Deluxe resort right up there with the GF, Poly and Contemp.
