Ode To Wii - I FINALLY GOT ONE!!!

SOOOOOOOOOOOO...I'm sure you can tell by my updated title that I finally snagged a wii. It was the weirdest thing. I went on to Walmart.com to check (yet again) to see if they were available and my timing must have been perfect because they were! Two seconds after I ordered it I got a wii alert on my phone. I'm really glad I stayed persistent and got one!

Now I just have to wait until next week when it arrives

I got the console and an extra remote and nunchuck. I didn't get the bundle because I don't know if I would want the extra games that come with it. Plus my dad already has offered to buy us two new games once we get it!

I bought the Wii Play with the console to get the games with the extra remote, but I didn't get the extra nunchuk. Are you going to join us with the Wii Fat?

Thanks for the bananas! The extra nunchuk is good for the boxing on the wii sports so I got one, it was only an additional $14 or so..I am sure we can use it for other games too.

And of course I will join in on wii fit..I mean wii fat...haha

I heard a rumor that Mindy got a wii too...

Mine has Wii Sport, with one remote and one nunchuk.
I'm up to 218 on Bowling...sooo much better than Bowling Buddies on facebook!

I've got WiiFat on order, should be here in a week. WooHoo!

So glad you finally found one! DH and I had been on the same search as you. Last weekend we went from store to store searching. We found a Wii bundle, but didn't want to spend that much extra on things we didn't want....

Then on Monday DH was in another part of town (thats his day off) and he went to Wal-Mart and they had 3! He bought one, then back tracked to Toys R Us next door and bought a Wii Fit (they had 6 in stock) and the Wii Play with the extra controller.

We have since bought another nunchuck and a game called Raymans Raving Rabbids TV party. That is the best game!! It uses to controller in such a cool way, plus it uses to balance board that comes with the Wii fit. We rented Wii Mario Kart and we can play that till Wednesday. We will buy it eventually when we can find it.

We just love playing Nintendo systems over the others and the motion sensor remotes are just awesome... even though the graphics aren't as good, we can actually play this system with just about anyone.... and the others don't really appeal to as large of a demographic. Even our parents in their 50's enjoy playing this system and they don't even usually care about video games!!

Well done on getting one. I never really got the whole mad rush for them at christmas until I worked in a game shop over christmas. Even though the ones we sold were second hand, and didn't include Wii Sports (Being a 2nd hand only shop, we didn't do game bundles, so even pre-bundled bundles had to be unbundled) and they were still selling for about the same as a new one. The worst can be said less for the consoles but the games at christmas, Wii Fit was selling for £140 and Professor Layton for £60 since they were harder to come by in the UK.

The day I got mine was pure brilliance, I went half's with my mum on mine for my 18th birthday, and its great as it gets all the family together, even my parents will play Wii Sports.
