Oddball is outta here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oddball's Dad and I just returned home from taking her basketball camp. I think she is really going to enjoy it once this first night is over with. She has never been away from home for something like this before. She did not get to room with Heather(her best friend), but she does like the girl she is roomed with. Within an hour of arriving, the girls got settled into their dorm and suited up for their first game.

IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first 6 minutes of the game, they were down 16-2.
They got a good bawling from the coach and actually played a little better! They only lost 25-6! As I said, it was horrible. They just couldn't catch a break. They made plenty of shots, but just couldn't sink any! But they started out last season with a horrible loss and came back and won all but 4 games(and these were lost to much larger schools than ours). They had to play 3 or 4 games today, 5 games tomorrow and then 2 games Tuesday. Then they come home sometimes Tuesday afternoon!

So, if you all would please send their team a little pixie dust it would be much appreciated! Thanks!

We will miss her at Tag. Island...we wish her well this week. She will learn a lot this week. I like to cheer for AL people anyway (my Dad's originally from AL and we still have a lot of family throughout the state).

FTWFAN, I am glad you keep an eye on where she hangs out in Cyber space. I would say come by the TAGLIARCHY and give us updates, but... Aw, what the heck, we want to make sure she is doing well.

Bless her heart...I remember those days. Summer camps and tournament camps (ESPECIALLY in Alabama) were always so hot and you have to work sooo hard. I played in NW Alabama (Lauderdale County, which I'm sure you're familiar with if you have a daughter who plays) and we lost a game like that our first day of camp one time, and our coach made us go upstairs and run laps around the gym while the rest of the teams played downstairs...

Best of luck to her....ultimately this camp will make them stronger as individual players and also as a team!

She's gonna have so much fun Mrs. [COLOR=9900CC]oddball27[/COLOR]'s mom. The good news is she'll wanna come home, the bad news is she'll wanna go back next year and you'll miss her all over again. HOWEVER, she is learning and having fun and that's what being a teen is all about! Plus, I can't wait to hear about all the "HOT" boys she saw or met.
