Odd things that gross you out

Back to grossouts...once hair is off my head, I'm done with it. Get it AWAY from me. I had a really wimpy vacuum cleaner once, and very long hair. So as to not kill the vacuum, I would have to walk around the apartment scooting my bare feet around in circles, to get all of the hair (my own hair) up, just gagging the whole time. But doing that was better than having to deal with it wrapped around the rollers of the vacuum!

I hope you don't mind, but this has me tickled!:flower3: I can imagine you scooting around the floor, then stopping to gag, then moving in circles, then stopping to gag.

I agree about the hair in the vacuum, long hair can really wreak havoc on one.

I'm the EXACT same way.
I especially hate other people's hair. I'm in college living in a dorm and I share a bathroom with 3 other girls. Two of the girls leaves their hair EVERYWHERE. If they brush their hair, they throw any loose hair, mostly from their brush, onto the floor  . My roommate is one of the culprits and we share a sink - she'll leave her hair in the sink. After she showers, she leaves hair all over the shower - the floor, walls, everywhere. It grosses me out beyond belief. The bathroom floor is always covered in hair and I always have to go in there and clean it - usually at least twice a day.

I'm also bad when it comes to food textures. Give me a sandwich with soggy bread and I'll gag and have to throw the sandwich away. I don't mean for it to be rude, but it seriously makes me gag. Another food that comes to mind is Yoplait Whips. I don't know if they even still make them, but I gag at the thought of them. I've never tried them - mostly because I can't get past the texture. I had a friend in middle school who absolutely loved them and brought them to lunch every day. She would try to get me to eat it by sticking a spoonful in my face. I'm practically gagging at the thought
:sick::sick::sick::sick:

OK, what would possess that stupid broad with the most recent post on the FB page to POST A PICTURE of something gross and hole-related?! GRRRRRR.

Yeah - you got me. :headache:

I just joined.. and I dunno if it is gonna help as there are PICTURES that people keep posting and am now in official "itch" mode....

took myself out of the group***

Other people tend to yell at them, it looks like - but yeah, WTH? :confused3

It looks like it was finally given a 'name' in 2005 (hence why when I Googled when I initially got that breast picture, in probably like 2003-ish, I never found anything on it.

Trypophobia = Fear of Holes/Clusters.

Grody. I don't even like typing out either one of those words. Blech!

ok I DIDN'T read the thread yet but had to respond to this!!!!!! First things first. Are you serious???? I say this because I too hate the "holly" frog!!!! I cannot look at it without going into SERIOUS anxiety attack mode.
In the past I have had to take meds to calm me down from these episodes. My family knows now I cannot watch any show that comes on the tv about it. The only reason for me is because of the "holes" on its back. I have a SERIOUS phobia against certain types of "HOLES" that I got I believe in result to seeing a decaying dog near my elementery school. I tend to stay away from the nature shows that might have the frog on it... My family although do tease me about the "holly frogs" every now and then.

See, a lot of people (I've just recently read) know when their hole thing, started. I have no clue. I know that stupid picture set me off, big time - but I had it before then.

And.... they gross my son out too. They bug the hell out of him.

I read (again, recently! ) that it's related to OCD, and I know I am, and see signs of it in my youngest, too.

I hate loose hair, especially other people's. Dog hair and cat hair I am fine with but people hair is nasty to me.

Things with holes don't gross me out but they are so WEIRD. Lotus pods are so strange. I find it fascinating.

My skin is officially itching right now! Never realized that I didn't really like some things with holes in them. Yuck!!!!!!!

One thing that grosses me out are stitches. I hate stitches. I've had my ACL reconstructed three times - all three times I have had cadaver tendons used to replace my ACL. I thought that was going to freak me out - having a dead person's tendon in me, but no! It was the stitches that creeped me out until I could have them removed.

Dead animals also gross me out. If I'm driving and there is a dead animal in the street and I have to drive over it, I completely shutter all over until I'm over it.

Like my tag say, animals that have gone through the taxidermy process scare me and gross me out too. I tried to look up the taxiderm process thinking it would help - nope, not one bit. I always refer to them as dead stuffed animals. Yuck!!!!!!!

Drinking after someone. Especially if it's a can. If someone takes a sip of my drink they might as well talke the whole thing. I don't want it back.

I so totally agree! Do not drink after me and I won't drink after you - EVER!!!

I am grossed out by parents who "clean" their baby's pacifier by sticking it in their mouth.

Count me in as another person that is totally freaked out by hair in sinks, shower drains, etc. Just totally makes me nauseous. One of my stepdaughters lived with us while she was in college and she had long, thin hair -- and would never clean out the grate in her shower. It was just so disgusting ....

Bandaids. The worst-wet bandaids. My teenage boys think is hilarious and love to torment me with them.

Teeth. I love nice teeth. But if you have a loose tooth, or just came from the dentist and they did a "procedure", please do not tell me about it and dear god, never show it to me - unless you want puke on you. My DS has his first loose tooth and he knows never to talk about it or show me.

Milk - just thinking about drinking it grosses me out.

People drinking out of my drink. Please, just keep it because I will not drink anymore after you took a sip.

Meat. I cannot stand most meat, it just grosses me out.

I absolutely cannot eat meat on bones. Those freaking turkey legs that people walk around and eat make me want to die.

I cannot cook raw meat (I finally was able to cook raw ground beef 2 years ago), look at raw meat, or think about raw meat.

I once dated a guy who took me to his grandmothers house. She lived on kind of a farm and they had chickens. I sat down for dinner and what do you think they served? Chicken and yes, they had just killed and plucked them and they were fresh.:scared1::eek:. That was the end of that relationship. I could not eat it and had to excuse myself from the table because I could not watch enyone else eat it either.

Cotten balls gross me out. I can't even touch them or watch other with them. Also hot dogs and ham are things I don't like.

Other peoples hair. I won't touch it. Except my kids and hubbies.

Dont ever touch my bellybutton. It is so sensitive. Even if you push the area around it, it will make me want to punch you. It makes me have to pee bad.

Wet feet or hands. I can't hold my kids hands at the pool, waterparks, cuz it is gross.

I am fine going to the bathroom at other peoples houses, but I wont use their hand towels. I feel like they aren't clean. I will use toliet paper or my jeans!
And after people use my bathroom, I feel like i need to clean it, and of course, change the towels!

I hate to even type the word..but..Band Aids. Ugghhh! They are bad in all instances but the absolute WORST is when you see them at a pool and they are wet and looking like they had just slipped off a finger.:scared1:
I truly feel nauseated just typing that out-I am not even looking at what I wrote to check for typos.

Stickers on fruit(see tag) are also very bad but not as bad as B. A.
Not the actual stickers but having to take them off. I have to hold my breath while I do it.

Also, Quiznos wraps up your sandwiches and closes the wrapper with masking tape, which I can not stand..I get it off and in the trash as fast as I can.

Tape and stickers in anything but pristine condition are a problem for me..

oh my gosh, there's another one out there!:rotfl2: I have never meet anyone else with the bandaid issue. And Scotch tape on anything food related is a big no,no too!

Like my tag say, animals that have gone through the taxidermy process scare me and gross me out too. I tried to look up the taxiderm process thinking it would help - nope, not one bit. I always refer to them as dead stuffed animals. Yuck!!!!!!!

Oh my, yes. This absolutely sickens me.

I know what you mean!

My late MIL had a friend whose husband was into hunting and taxidermy. I was invited to their home one time and was shocked at the number of "stuffed" animals they had on display.:sad2: Really, it was completely disturbing. :sad2: MIL's friend was really proud of the cat her husband had found dead on a road. The cat was displayed on the floor of their family room. I believe that she thought he had done a good deed by picking up the dead cat to have it stuffed; almost like he rescued it. :confused3 From death? :confused3 Weird people.

I am a little ocd and have many mental issues. I never put the 2 together but it makes sense now that you say that. I joined that group earlier and took myself off of it and I am now really starting to calm down. Today was a very anxiety ridden day. I wonder why people who belong to a phobia type group put their phobia pics for all to see and get anxiety ridden. would have been nice to belong to it though...
