But ferd is also explaining that there is a difference between meets which were at Norway versus those at MK. The A&E meets are being highly scrutinized by Management.

And, if you asked for an individual picture and found that it wasn't taken when you reviewed MM, you would have had a logical complaint... the CM was being proactive.

It sounds like the difference here is "posed" photos. Nothing wrong with some candids, or close-ups of a child hugging one of the characters, but not stand side by side and smile for the camera.

I can see where that would be disappointing to some, but understand why they are doing it.

Actually, now that you mention it, I do have some pics of just DD and Elsa (taken in Norway). This one I took, but I'm pretty sure Photopass Photographer captured a few shots of the same scene. (and I agree about the candid shots being better than posed.)



Were your individual shots taken while they were meeting in Norway, or in MK? I have FP+ for this weekend, so I might just have to ask a CM and see what they say.

This eill be our one and only trip to Disney world because of how far we are coming and my daughter loves frozen and is only 3 so it looks like she will just fall into the princess world too.

Would it possibly help to ask the character directly? I asked Flynn rider for a picture with just him and he did. I will say that rapunzel did comment about being left out but that's what I wanted. I used my own camera for it.

I think it would. I don't see an attendant overriding a character. The character may have a practiced and character-related "no" though.

Maybe it is something to do with just Anna & Elsa? I really have no idea, I'd say that's someone on a power trip.

We've had similar experiences where we've said "NO photopass please" yet we still get it, and only 1 picture on our camera, or when we try to pass off 1 phone to the attendant, and 1 to the photopass we get told ONLY ONE! Though other times we've totally been those people with 3 cameras & photopass.

It's weird to me that they'd say no when at parties we've all gotten separate photos with princesses & then the prince kinda thing. Not to mention the time we were behind a group of about 8 16 year old girls for Peter Pan and they all needed to have individual photos and then group photos done...

Same with us with Flynn and Rapunzel, though we didn't have to ask, the characters just sepearated for us to get the pics of each character alone with our daughter (and amusingly enough when my DD2 was getting her pics done with Rapunzel, Flynn and Snow White and her prince came over and stood behind the camera to get her to laugh and smile). Like I said, that was a very busy day with the princes being there and a lot of people were waiting for that Meet and Greet and they didn't have issues with the seperate pics.

I honestly think this is a rule for Anna and Elsa due to the huge standby times and their immense popularity, and it may be a newer rule put into place for them, too. I'd say it wouldn't hurt to ask, and if they say no, just understand it's what they need to do for right now.

We used our own camera...and got fabulous pictures with just Anna! My daughter tended toward her as well, and the photopass guy took pictures of just the 2 of them "unofficially". Most of my pictures were not while they were looking at the camera, but I kind of liked it that way.

That picture was taken just after my daughter had kissed Anna on the cheek. We do have others where Anna is looking at the camera, but this was one of my faves b/c of how sweet she was when DD kissed her.

All of the pics shown so far or talked about seem to be more "candid". The OP asked for a "posed" picture with just Anna. Which is a difference.

And it is very possible that this is an Anna and Elsa thing. None of the other characters get these sorts of waits so it's not needed for them.

Yeah, we've discussed the candid vs. 'posed' picture difference in this thread, and it does seem to be an Anna and Elsa exclusive thing, and possibly a newer rule, but we may have to wait and see if another user might post a 'posed' shot of themselves or their child with either just Anna or just Elsa.

I just checked our photopass, and we have 2 pictures with just Anna. I didn't ask for it, but we do have it! We also have pictures with just my youngest, then with all 3, and then one with our whole family.

Were these taken in MK or Norway? And are they candids or posed shots? If they are posed and at MK, I would say the OPs situation must've had to do with either a militant ( ) CM, or possibly a new rule that just was put in place, or a particularly crowded day and they needed to move things along. Possibly time for a princess break.

One is candid and one looks more posed. On the posed one, they were both looking at the camera and smiling, so I am guessing that the CM asked them to look. All of the others have Elsa over to the side.
