I just heard about this and the thought had never even crossed my mind. Have any of you ever heard about someone booking and paying for an inexpensive Disney reservation package (such as a campsite) just to utilize Disney's perks (ie free parking, dining plan, extra magic hours) but then physically staying offsite? Someone also mentioned using this "strategy" to take advantage of Free Dining offers. Have any of you heard about this or done this? :confused3

It seems to me it would have to be very inexpensive to make it worth the money. We split stays sometimes between onsite and off site but we stay where we say we are on any given day.

I completely agree. With free dining, a $45-$50 per night campsite might make financial sense. It's just such a foreign idea to me. Thoughts?

No free dining with the campsites. You can register up to 10 people per campsite, so if you have a large group this can be an inexpensive way to get EMH and parking.

I did this for two nights over Christmas Holidays once.
