Odd-numbered party size

If I only have a party of 3, should I just search for 4? I've read other posts mention that the system may skip odd-numbered party sizes in favor of filling all the seats at a table. Any guidance is appreciated.

Frustrated from getting up at 5:55 a.m. for our 180+6, the system not allowing me to search until 6:15 and then all the ADRs we wanted are already gone!

I would check for three first, then four. It's true that some restaurants seem to have a preference for even numbered parties. You won't be charged for the one no-show.

That is what we do. We check for 3 first and if nothing is available then we try for 4. We had to do this at Be Our Guest 2 trips ago. This time we thankfully got all of our ADR's for 3.

The reservation system has a glitch that makes it harder for odd numbered searches, but we search for 3 first and if nothing comes up we then try 4.

I had to do this for a few of our ADR's last year. I can remember searching for 3 for Via Napoli and nothing showed up, but then got the time we wanted when searching for 4. It really is no problem since many restaurants, you'll be sat at a 4 top table anyway.
