Odd number of Guests

The point is, it’s best to go in with what you need. But it never hurts to politely ask as long as you are prepared for a no answer.

I’ll just add it may be easier at some restaurants than others. LTT is pretty large & may have more flexibility than places like Le Cellier or Sci Fi. Le Cellier is a much smaller room & tables are very crowded. Sci Fi doesn’t have the ability to squeeze an extra a chair at the end of a table.

Msmayor, we are trying for Yak & Yeti. I'm beginning to think they don't have tables bigger than 6. We are going to do a walk-up and see how it goes. Thank you!
Try joining the Landry's select club for Yak & Yeti. There is an up front cost but I think you get the exact same amount back as a credit on your next meal at one of the restaurants. Once you do that call the restaurant directly and tell them you need a reservation, you are Landry's select, and they should be able to take care of you. We did that on our last trip in November 2022 and we had 7 at Yak & Yeti.

For other restaurants at Disney try for 2 reservations close together. We have done that for most of our trips. DW and I are always the ones that get put on reservation duty and have booked for everything from 2 to 12. Anything over about 6 and we try for a single reservation but if not available we quickly pivot to 2 separate reservations with times close together and then request that our groups be combined at check-in. There is only one time that I can recall that we were not seated all together and that was at Be Our Guest with a group of 9. Good luck.

Very true. Chef Mickey is large as well.

Theres no way to call Disney restaurants, you won’t be able to talk to a manager unless you go to the restaurant. This circumstance comes up regularly. Managers would be on the phone just dealing with these calls if there were.
I have been connected to a restaurant manager before. Granted it was about 4 years ago, but I had a tricky dining situation and got shuttled between CMs until I eventually made it to the manager. But I wouldn't say it's a normal occurrence.
