Do you think you are at a disadvantage when trying to book ADRs for an odd-numbered party? In many restaurants a party of 3 takes up a table for 4, a party of 5 takes up a table for 6 etc. so in essence disney loses out when seating an odd-numbered party. I'm wondering if disney limits how many larger tables they'll fill with smaller odd-numbered parties....:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Not always! I jsut finished booking my ADRs for 6 people and I couldn't get one of the times and places I wanted with 6 but there was a reservation available for 7 (th CM told me about it). I thought that was a bit strange because I would think odd numbers would be harder to book.

Definite disadvantage unless you really plan in advance. We decided to go to Disney about 45 days before our last trip. 3 places we tried to get ADRs for a party of 5 and it was suggested we separate and take a table for 2 and a table for 4 and they couldn't guarantee we'd even be in the same part of the restuarant. We said no thanks because we were on a family vacation and spending time together was important. Also, we have 3 kids under 5, so we never would have been able to agree upon who was sitting with mommy and who was sitting with daddy.

Disney Dining does not punish people for having an odd numbered party. :duck: The only limitation is the number of tables in the location and how many of those tables the location has released for booking (it's up to them, not Disney Dining, and it would be for reasons like having previously booked a large group, like a wedding reception :goodvibes ). The Dining agents will always tell anyone who books two separate tables that those tables cannot be guaranteed to be together (unless the location has stipulated that they can accommodate such requests at certain hours of the day, like the beginning and end of the serving period) and it doesn't mean that it won't happen. It simply means that Disney wants to make you aware that although the restaurant will do their best to keep parties together (especially those with small children) unforeseen circumstances could arise to prevent that. ::yes:: Rather than promise something and then disappoint you, Disney will warn you that sometimes things don't go perfectly to plan, even at Disney World. :cutie: You can go to the location and be patient, telling them that you're willing to wait for two tables together. In my experience, this works really well. :thumbsup2

Hope that helps clear up any confusion. Happy booking! :wizard:
