Odd- no availability at Sanaa

I just find this so strange. We have a reservation for our arrival night at Jiko since we're spending the first night at AKL. For a variety of reasons, we decided to change it to Sanaa.

Except there is no availability that night. I just find this so weird. It was for 6 on Dec 4. I tried all sorts of times and party sizes and not only is there no availability, they don't give me alternate options. The really strange thing, to me, is there is availability at Boma and Jiko still for 6...is Sanaa really this popular, or is there just something wrong with their reservation system? There is availability for 6 at lunch.

I just find it so hard to believe that a non-park, non-mainstream food restaurant is this popular all of a sudden.. Is there any difference if I call? It's a pain for me to do that since I'm overseas, but if the phone has a different system, I can give it a try.

We had the same issue trying to book Sanaa online, but booked it without a problem by calling Disney Dining -- and this happened for both our trip in May and our upcoming trip in December. I don't know why, but it doesn't seem to book online.

Sanaa is in the online system, but ever since it went active you cannot use the online system to book Sanaa for dinner for some reason as it will always come up as having no availabilty. Lunch works, but not dinner. Call the dining line to make that reservation.

Yup! We had the same experience. When we called Disney Dining we had our choice of days/times.

The food at Sanaa is WONDERFUL! Enjoy!
