Odd group of characters at MGM (PIC ADDED)

I know some DISers love to know about the characters. I just wanted to report that on Saturday at MGM around 5pm they had a group of characters to have your pic with (they were not signing). The characters were: Gideon, Lilo, Mr. Smee, Eeyore, Goofy, and three or four others. It was an odd, mismatched group. i'll try to get a picture of them up tomorrow.

Thanks for the report! Was this by the Big Hat at MGM? Mr. Smee and Gideon aren't regulars there, that's for sure! Good to know that Disney is getting some characters out that aren't just Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale! I mean, I love those guys, but some variety is always welcomed!

And this was a large group shot with no autographs? That IS very ususual!!

Well said Sue, that is a good group of characters, can't wait to see the photo. I am with you Sue, I love Mickey, Minnie,Pluto, Goofy and Chip and Dale but variety is good, bring out those not so common characters Disney.

The characters were not at the big hat. It was across the street from the trailers that jojo& goliath were at for a meet and greet, and to the right of the room where Sorceror Mickey's meet and greet was.

Ah, I know what you are talking about. Were they all in the picture together, or seperate? And they were not doing autographs? That is strange.

Sometimes the characters like to get together with their friends they don't see very often and greet the public. Since signing autographs takes quite a bit of time, sometimes they decide that it's better to meet the guests as opposed to signing autographs for the guests.

Coming from a former character attendent (well a character greeter at the time), just having pictures taken does take a lot less time than pictures and autographs. Sometimes the entertainment managers say just a photo meet and greet and that what the characters have to go by. I must say I am always excited to see a bunch of characters that don't normally go together being together. I guess it's the Disney geek in me!

Gideon is a regular at MK as is Mr. Smee and Eeyore. However only Eeyore appears regularly at MGM.

Here is the pic.... can someone tell me if there is a quick way to resize pictures in Windows... This is poor quality because I used paint and it made the file a bitmap and then converted back to jpeg. I'm not good with picture posts...yet! Also, I overestimated the number of characters.... but here they are

These characters were with a friendly castmember named Eric... he was fluent in English and Spanish.
