We usually go the first week of May and love this time of year! We are thinking of going the first week of October in a couple of years and trying to snag a grand villa at AKV. Is this a good time to go? How's the weather?

We went two years ago in October, second week and it was wonderful. This year we are going in October again, last week and can't wait. The weather was great the last time. Warm enough to swim, but not warm enough to make you want to stay inside.

We have gone the last week of September & the first week of October twice now and loved, loved, loved that time of year. The temp is 85(ish) so swimming is great. The crowds are very manageable. We were able to get on and off the rides with ease. The biggest problem we had was the love bugs at the bus stops. Other than that - that time of the year is fabulous!

We have gone to DW at least 10 times in October ... going again this October 11 thru the 16th as DVC owners for the first time. We also go in Feb and sometimes in June of the same years....Oct is our most favorite time, the weather, the crowds, etc. are great. I don't think you will be disappointed.

We go every year in October and it is great. Weather good and smaller crowds. Only time better we found was in September - weather a bit hotter, but crowds even smaller. Our children are now in school, so we have to stick to Fall Break schedule.

Our family has been going for last 4 years in Oct for food & wine plus halloween party. We have been making this our second trip of the year and find the time very nice. Weather can be rainy but not so hot. For us it is sort of extension of fall before it gets really cold back home. We have enjoyed the food/wine and music and seeing the park pull of the fall decorations. Early we would go in august/sept. but it can be to hot.

We too have gone the last 4 Oct.

May was always my favorite month but, when DD started school, we had to move to Oct. as we get a week for fall break. I'm worried about this Oct. w/free dining now being offered. We went a couple of years ago during end Sept/first Oct & it was a zoo during free dining, luckily, already go our ADR's for this trip so we'll see.

To me, weather is a lot like May....there can be extreme heat (or cool) days but overall it is pretty nice & you can still do lots of swimming.

Love October--we go every year. Used to be low crowds....not sure what free dining will do to it this year, or next year if they continue with it.

MNSSHP is going on, as is the Food and Wine Festival. Yum!
