Hello everyone! Well I've been on here for a while but haven't reached out for much help so here I go......

All girls trip/cast:

ME - 40
DSis - 38
DD - 21

We've never been in October so I'm looking forward to your feedback and experiences with the fall and even MNSSHP. We usually go around Christmas because we love the decorations and the cooler (even just a little) weather.

October 9 - 15

Resort: PORS - haven't stayed at Riverside before but when speaking with the CM she said the renovation should be complete and the rooms should have queen beds. Anyone stayed here that can provide any feedback?

Ressies

Sunday - Rainforest Cafe (a must for my daughter)
Monday - Yachtsman 6:45 pm
Tuesday - Le Cellier 11:30 am
MNSSHP
Wednesday - Le Chefs 6:30 pm
Thursday - Mamma Melrose 6:15 pm
Friday - Coral Reef 6:00 pm

Lunches - we'll do QS at whatever park we're at for the day.

We like to drive to each park so if it's too crowded or if we're just not feeling it we jump in the car and head to another park.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Thanks!

Jeni

Back in '09 we went from 10/3 - 10/11. The downside: The weather was HOT & HUMID!!! High 90's the entire week we were there - felt more like Summer than Fall - they said it was not normal for that time of year but that early October can still be very warm. If you don't mind the heat, then you'll be fine - we don't mind warm temps but 98-100 is a little too warm for our liking & that's what we experienced. Also, we found the parks crowded and a CM told us it was Texas week which accounted for the extra crowds in parks plus we had the Columbus Day holiday the week we were there and they said any holiday will draw more people to the parks. We did our best to work around it by using EMH & we managed around the crowds. It was still a lot more manageable than the summer months in Disney. MNSSHP was nice but again it was very warm which made for some cranky kids and cranky adults. Now the upside: You'll be able to enjoy your resort's pool more than you would in December- we've never stayed at POR but have gone there to eat at the foodcourt and walk around - they have a great food court and the grounds are beautiful. Friends of ours have stayed several times & loved it. You have some great meals planned: L'Cellier (one of our favorites), Yachtsman, Coral Reef - all good choices. But the best thing about October? The Food & Wine Festival over at Epcot - we absolutely LOVE the Fall for that reason alone:)

We love the Fall at WDW. Last time we were at WDW in Oct we had 2 days of super hot 92+ & 2 days of 65 daytime & 45 at night so pack for a swing in the weather. On our 3 day there was not a sweatshirt to be found in the gift shops.

That is a pretty big swing in temps at least now I'll know how to pack....lots and lots of options.

This will be our first year to attend the FWF so we're super excited and searching every possible link and site for information. Can't wait.

Thanks for the feedback!
