October vs. February

We have been lucky enough to go to WDW 3 times in late Jan/early Feb and loved everything about it... crowds, price, weather!

After a two year break from WDW we are suddenly eager to get back and unfortunatley by the time we talked ourselves in to it we missed our favorite season. Now we don't want to wait until Feb 07 -plus I jumped on that Universal Studios deal, and (supposedly) they expire at the end of this year- so we are looking to go in October.

My questions are: How is October for a couple of February lovers? Is the weather similar? What about the crowd levels? Is there anything to avoid in October (like February's President's week) Any any other tips or suggestions would be great!

Thanks in advance!

Of the times I've been to Disney, I've gone 3 times during October. This is funny - because I want to know what it is like for early Feb. My mom's birthday is the 10th (today) and we'd like to go celebrate it next year!

I really like October. The weather is pleasant. Sometimes it is warmer, sometimes it is cool in the evening. For the most part though, we did not need jackets in the evening. I wore capris during the day and my husband was fine in his shorts. But take one just in case. I'd also take an extra pair of shoes - because once it rained one evening and our shoes got pretty wet.

I love the halloween party (if you are into that holiday, it is very fun indeed) You also have the Food & Wine festival at Epcot during that time (sample different foods from different countries for a few dollars give or take :) )

I'm supposed to be making dinner right now! If you have other questions, please ask - and any insight on how it is during Early Feb. would be great!!

February is my favorite - see my tag!! :teeth: But October is a close second. The weather is much warmer - but not hot. You can swim and get out of the pool and not be freezing! The crowds are a little bit heavier, but still not a big deal at all. I would say avoid Columbus Day weekend if you can - but that being said, we've been there that weekend, and it was manageable. You have to watch your schedule a little more because of the Halloween party. If you're doing MK on a day when there is a party that night, you're not going to be able to see the fireworks unless you've got a ticket for the party as well. Other than that, I think you'll have a great time.

October is warmer. Also it's F&W time.
