We will be there for my son's wish trip (thank you Sunshine Foundation) from October 9-14th, staying at Anaheim Desert inn and Suites. It will be Husband, myself, daughter 13, daughter 10, son 6 and Grandparents!! I took the advice of a few others and I have ordered clearance items from disney.com and have a package for each of the kids (as a surprise when we get there)

How is everyone doing on their planning. Our trips are getting closer!

Funny you should ask this today as we have actually made a pretty signifigant change to our plans. Well, we haven't decided yet, I think I'm going to ask for some opinions on the So Cal board (and if anyone reading this thread has any opinions, I'd love to hear your input). We are doing Hollywood and San Diego in addition to Disneyland. We were going to rent a car, but we are considering taking the train from our hotel in Hollywood (well, Union Station, which is kind of close to our hotel) to San Diego and then from San Diego to Anaheim rather than driving. Both DH and I are a bit intimidated by the thought of driving in L.A.
SO, just when I thought all of our planning was complete, looks like I'll have a bit more work ahead, but that's ok...I LOVE planning trips!

We leave 2 weeks from Friday! Got our ticket package from FEDEX yesterday! It was full of Disney visa perks. We have Ariel's Grotto lunch booked for Sun. Oct. 15th so the 3 DD's can see the Princesses. I have second thoughts about the food! Anyone have any experience with AG?

Our family (also with 3 DDs ) will be at Ariel's Grotto a few day before you! I have no first-hand experience, but I have heard mixed reviews about the food.

I loved the food at Ariel's, it's a sit down instead of a buffett, food was quite good. We leave in 24 days, arriving on October 20th..
