October questions

We're thinking of going in October, but were unsure of the crowd situation for the 1st 2 weeks of Oct.

How does Columbus Day affect things? Would they have the night shows along with crowds? How does the rest of that week look? Is it busy all week or just that weekend plus Monday?

Also, I read on another board that Arizona has school out Oct. 4-8 and that everyone goes to DL then. How crowded does that week get with "all" of AZ there?

Finally, which would be the lesser of two evils for weekday visiting?

I don't think Columbus day has much of an effect because none of the schools around here get it off. Fridays and Saturdays (and usually Sundays) have all the nightime shows going on. Fantasmic will not be running because a very important part of the show will be down for refurb, but the fireworks and Electrical Parade will still be running. On Weekend days DL does get a lot of locals--something that happens all through the year.

I've heard that it can get really busy Gay Days, that's the first weekend in Oct. I can't say that for fact since I haven't been during that time.......until this year Sorry I couldn't help more!
