October Photopass Share-Squirrel's Group

I organized a group last year during Free Dining and I am looking for anyone who wants to join in a Photopass CD Share for October.

I already have two people interested and myself (3). I would like to find about 4 or 5 more members to keep the costs down. Last year I believe we paid $15.

I would be interested if our dates work. We will be in Disney world from October 29th to 31st, then back again on Nov. 5th and will be back home two days later.
How does the photo pass Sharing work?

The leader sets up an account for the photopass share. They give the account information to the rest of the group. Each member has a certain amount of time to add their photos to the account and do all the editing. The members all share in the cost of the CD (s). The leader then makes coppies of each families photos onto disks and sends them. When leader has heard back that the CD was received in good condition and no problems with photos the leader deletes the families photos from the computer.


Unfortunately tjbaggott, I think it would be really hard to get your photos done in time and still not loose the photos from the first few members.

So it looks like we now have 7 and possibly 8 in our group.

We can't pre-pay for the Photopass until 2 months before we plan on using it(The code is only good for 2 months). I think Oct. 1st should be the first day the account is started. My 2 princesses would be first as her trip starts on Sept. 13th (unless she has different dates). That should give the rest of us enough time to do our editing and the CD can be ordered Oct.31 or earlier, if everyone is done.

I can't see anywhere on this site that says you have to order the disc in 60 days. I found a contact number of 1-407-560-4300 but they are only open from 9:00am - 1:00pm eastern time so I will call tomorrow to find out if we can order the disc now at the redused rate or if we have to wait until sometime in August.

I was sure I saw something about 2 months.

That's why lots of people were having trouble, they had to get new codes sent to them as they pre-paid too early.

I just checked again on allears and I don't see anything listed about not ordering before two months. I'll keep checking! I have know idea where I saw that-I can't find anything (Photopass site or allears) about only ordering it two months or less before.

Good Morning

Well after 43 minutes on hold to speak to somebody from the photopass office they said that the disc can be preordered and paid for up to 12 months in advance.

Let me know when you would like me to send you money for the disc, this way you can be paid in advance from those of us in the group before you have to spend the money.

Do they put a limit as to how many pictures are allowed on a CD?

They have no limilt on the number of photos taken and then altered via the website. Last year a group that I was in ended up with just over 900 pictures.

I guess it's time to send you all my information. Just realized we still are waiting for My 2 princesses to confirm her dates.

Last time I sent the CD's in a sleeve inside an envelope and paid regular postage. One CD was delivered broken. I resent a new one and then put a thin carboard in the envelope. Do you want me to do the same this time or do you prefer bubble wrap envelopes and more postage?


If we only have 7 the total would be $18.42 (I used $129 CAN - $99 US plus CD and regular postage also includes 2.5% my Credit Card will charge me).

If we have 8 people the total would be $16.25.

Math is not one of my best subjects so feel free to double check!

Checks are fine with me I had read something too about the not ordering more than 2 months in advance but can't remember where I saw it either. Must have been one of the threads on the Theme Parks board.

I think $129/8=$16.13 ($16.125)

There is no limit....I participated in a share last year that had approx 1800 photos.

As to shipping I think it would be better to use the bubble pack envelopes. I know I would rather pay a bit more and get it first try than have a damaged disk and have to bother you for another one.
