October Park Hours?

Hello! My husband and I are in the process of planning a trip to DL for the 50th Anniversary celebration. We are planning on going in October 2005 and we're trying to pick dates. I prefer being in the parks when they're open late to maximize our time there, catch nighttime parades and fireworks, etc. It looks like the parks close early on weekdays and are open later Saturday and Sunday. Can anyone tell me what hours are typically like in October? Are the parks ever open later on Fridays as well? I was hoping to avoid crowds by going during the week, but I don't want to do that if the parks close early. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

they close pretty early in october. i think 8:00 pm at DL and 6:00 pm at DCA. if you want to maximize your stay inside the park, try the summer when they close at midnight.

They generally do stay open until 11pm or so on Fridays and Saturdays even in the off season. DCA usually closes at 9pm on those days.
