I know it's way to early for Disney to post the park hours for October. However I'm wondering if anyone recalls when\if spectromagic and fantasmic were shown in the past.

We will be there the first weekend in October, 2-6. (Thur.-Mon.)

Do you think spectromagic and FITS will take place during that time? What about fantasmic?

I really want to see spectromagic, fantasmic, and Illuminations. during this trip.

We're doing MNSSHP on Friday and Sunday.

We have been going every October for the past 3 years and love it! Weather is great and no crowds! Spectro and FITS only happen on Saturdays. Fantasmic happens every night as does Illuminations. You will also get a real treat going to MNSSHP as they have special perimeter fireworks that are much better then FITS. They all have a Boo To You parade that is really neat that we like better then any other parade. You will have a blast! We are going for 12 days starting on the 14th and doing MNSSHP on the 16th and cannot wait. It is our favorite time to go.

Yay! So many people have great things to say about visiting WDW in October, and I'm getting more and more excited by the day! We'll be there Sept 28 - Oct 5. These next four months had better FLY!

The only thing that bums me out is that we'll miss FITS and Spectro because we'll be at "La Nouba" that night. Oh well, yet another reason to convince DF that we need to come back again REAL soon! ;)

(Thanks for the heads-up on the fireworks at MNSSHP too. We were debating about whether or not to spend the money for the party, but with fireworks, a Halloween parade, and most of the rides staying open, it can't be beat!)

Thanks for your replies.

It looks like we'll have to miss one of the shows:(

Now, how in the world do I pick which one to skip? I love them all.

Thanks that's just what I needed.

I didn't know both water parks would be open. I wonder if I can fit some time at TL into our short schedule?

Hello
All I can say is, it pays to save. While planning our itinerary for Oct. 03 I had the same question, so I looked in my Disney souvenir bag from Our Oct 02 trip found the Times and info guide for Oct 16-31. Spectromagic was listed on the following days Wed Oct 16, Sat Oct 19, and Sat. Oct. 26 what this tells me is for some reason they had a Wednesday included, was it because it coincided with MNSSHP I don't know. Maybe we could get a little more help on this subject.

They usually don't tell you in the main park map what is happening during MNSSHP. Looking at my last two itineries for 2001 and 2002, there were fireworks and spectro for the Wed night preceding MNSSHP on 10/16/02 and 10/18/01. We attended them on each night and then went to MNSSHP the night immedietely following those Weds both years.

So for anyone looking ahead to October, it sounds like Saturday nights are a pretty safe bet for Spectro, right???

Remember, too, that Disney schedules their hours and parades based upon hotel occupancy. We all could get REALLY lucky and because of the Fairtale Package creating high hotel yields, they could schedule extra hours and parades in October. Well, one can wish upon a star...can't one???

I hope not! LOL! I would much rather have one FIT a week then to contend with crowds. We go in October to get away from crowds. I'm really hoping they don't have too many fairytale packages to offer. Don't mean to sound like a grump! :D

I'm with you. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I hope FTP keeps the resorts full so that they will have to keep the parks open later. This may mean I won't get a great discount on my room, but I'll take longer hours over a discount any day.:smooth:

I feel the same way, Terry. DF and I specifically chose our week between Sept. 28 - Oct. 5 because we thought the crowds would be quite low. I'm happy about the FTP deal, mind you -- we got an awesome rate because of it -- but part of me wishes we were going during a traditional "value season" with low attendance and short lines!

We'll see what happens. I'll definitely be interested in reading the trip reports from mid-September on ... Until then, let's keep wishing! ;-)
