October Park Hours?

When will they put up the October park hours?

I thought I read somewhere that it was August when they post the October hours. Historically it appears that DCA closes around 5 - 6 for the Mickey Trick or Treat Party, and DL closes around 8. Except on Friday and Sat. night - DL until midnight??

You're from Santa Clarita? I lived up in Canyon Country 1988 - 1994 - long enough to see the 5 / 14 interchange collapse for the second time. I was living in San Pedro 1970 - 73 when it went down in the Sylmar quake. Can't remember the exact year.

When we left in 94, there wasn't much on the Magic Mountain side of the 5 - hear that has changed!!

Hey - just noticed we should be there around the same time.

Yeah, its really expanded over here. August? That's too far away!

October is the beginning of the new fiscal year so usually they don't post dates until later after the new budget is established.

Oh, I see. They post the October hours, etc after they determine how much they want to increase ticket costs for the next year Got it!

I too am waiting for October hours. Last year we were there week days. And if I remeber right, DCA closed at 5 on weekdays that the halloween event was on, 6 on weekends that the event was on, otherwise 6 on weekdays and may 7-8 on weekends, bot sure, as I was not there on a non event weekend day.

Dl opened at 9 all 3 days we were there, and closed at 8 or 9 on non event nights from DCA, and cant remember if they remained open for 1 additional hour or not on DCA event nights.

Hope that helped. I did find out though from DL about event date for this year, DCA will close at 5pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends for the event, just as they did last year. Re-opening for the party 1 1/2 hours later and lasting for 4 hours.

My ticket for Friday October 31 says event time 7:30pm-11:30pm. So park will close at 6pm. I think DCA usually always opens at 10, regardless of day of week or regardless of event or not.
