October or November?

Alright, so it looks like the NY Giants play the Buccaneers this year in Tampa! My sister and I are big Giants fans and with my grandma living in Tampa, we decided to take the trip to Tampa this year! We decided to extend the vacation and spend a day or two in Disney World!

Now, here's the thing...

We're hoping it's not in September. My sister is a teacher and Sept is when the school year starts up. I'm also heading to Milwaukee to see the Brewers play (any tips on Milwaukee, inbox me!) We're kind of hoping the game falls in October, as we'd love to see the park during Halloween. We go every year for Christmas, so it'd be a nice warm-up trip before heading there in December. I feel like November would be too close and would ruin the "fun" of seeing the decorations when we arrive for Christmas, and a game in December just wouldn't be worth it.... so REEEALLLY banking on October.

I won't ask too much advice just yet - the schedule comes out on April 17th... but I wanted to ask - is the wine and food festival still going on through October? Is the MNSSHP going on during the weekends in October? We'd plan to get there early on a Friday and maybe do the wine and food festival and then go to the MNSSHP the next day. We'd probably swing by Disney Springs on Saturday. But who knows?

Should I be hoping for October or November? Anyone ever do anything like this?

Also - what's the pricing and crowds like during this time? Does October tend to be a bit more crowded because of the party? Is it lower priced because it's a slower part of the year, or more expensive due to the party? I'm seeing $209 for Port Orleans, which isn't bad, but would it go down?

The MNSSHP is on Fridays, but not Saturdays. Prices won't go down, but there may be discounts, depending on the timing. Historically, there are room discounts and free dining on select dates in October.

There is usually a black out period for discounts in October that are around the Columbus Day holiday. In 2015 the dates of Oct 5 to 16 are excluded from the bounce back discount, so it is possible that they will be excluded from a general public discount, too. I think the fall discounts will be released maybe around June? but I'm not sure about that.

Food & Wine will still be going on until mid November. MNSSHP tends to have parties on Fridays and Sundays of the weekends as well as other week days - not sure which ones.

The weather is great in October, usually. :)

Since you have already been for Christmas, I would recommend October! Great weather and less crowds! This will be my first time going in October this year and I am very excited. I am going to book the Halloween party at MK. We are dressing up and looking for to the Halloween parade which I hear is very good. We are also going to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot! So excited. So much in October to look forward too.

not to see the Giants play! May have lived in NJ for my whole life but I am a Cleveland Browns fan
