This topic comes up periodically.
At a WDW vacation, everyone is busy coming and going to parks, meals, events, etc. That's how the lime green Mickey sign got started. People put it out and if you went by, saw the sign, and saw someone outside, that was a chance to chat. Nowadays with cellular data coverage and loaner cable modem kits, it's been much easier the last few years to find out what people's daily plans are "in real time".
Setting a date/time/place has historically not borne much fruit. People who come multiple times a year can sometimes hit it because if they don't do something this time, they'll catch it in a few months. But everyone else is off doing their vacation thing.
Personally, I try to live trip report enough to let folks know if I'll be around the Fort the next day or so. That way if their plans match up we can chat. Bet I talked to nearly 20 people (DIS'sers and spouses) last year at this time. It was a blast.
My point is don't set expectations too high. But who knows? You might be pleasantly surprised. To the degree you can communicate in advance of when you arrive and maybe share general plans (this day this park, that day at the Fort, etc.) then so much the better.
