I googled Halloween Horror Nights 06 and came to another BB which had a small posting on HHN. Here it is below. We're going this year and Sweet Sixteen looks to be something not to be missed!
Halloween Horror Nights/Orlando 2006 As your Halloween Horror Nights unofficial rep

, I thought I'd create a thread for rumors/news about HHN/Orlando and update it as the year progresses.
from screamscape.com:
"Halloween Horror Nights 2006 - (2/4/06) This is perhaps the earliest weve ever heard rumors for a given years Halloween Horror Nights, but this one is full of good info that I read myself. An internet survey company is currently taking opinions on Halloween events at theme parks in Orlando and in addition to asking some questions about hosting a new event at Disney/MGM Studios it asks your opinion about a ton of possible themed that could be used for this years HHN. Some good, some odd and some were just lame repeats. One thing seemed to indicated in most of them... a return of HHN to the Studios and away from IOA in 2006. Lets dive right in...
Homecoming - A return to its sinister origins in a fall festival of fear. Your invited to join the zombified class of Ryhell High as they celebrate their last homecoming. But this is no innocent pep rally. The student body at this school left the world of the living long ago, and now the rotting cheerleaders, jocks, nerds and bullies are all majoring in summoning up creatures of pure evil. Demented scarecrows, nightmarish pumpkin creatures, witches and warlocks surrounds you as a raging bonfire casts an eerie orange glow across the park. Undead homecoming guests lurk in every shadow, waiting for you to be their date and join them in their dance of death. (Note: If you recall I was sent something that sounded very much like this concept as one of a few possible ideas pitched for 2005.)
Alien Invasion - Its an alternate dimension where fear knows no bounds. Stem into the universe of sci-fi horror as HHN joins with SciFi channel to create an event not of this earth. Errie lights and weird electronics sounds pierce the night. The darkened studios streets will be willed with alien invaders, hideous creatures who leap out from the shadows to terrify and torment the pitiful humans who dare "close encounters". Haunted Houses will include Area 51, where visitors stumble upon an alien autopsy gone horribly wrong. Other classic SciFi themes and characters from movies to video games will be re-created, including War of the Worlds, Planet of the Apes, Resident Evil, The Thing, and Alien. It will be come frighteningly apparent we are not alone in this universe.
Horror Comes Home - A return to the "back lot" of Universal Studios where it all started 16 years ago. On the studios darkened streets Universal will create an all new celebration of fear, utilizing everything learned in a decade and a half of scaring the wits out of all who dare to enter. This year's event features a mix of the strange and the familiar, as guests will revisit old haunts and discover new scares in never before utilized park locations. For this sweet sixteen scareabration Universal is also bringing back some of our most ghoulish alumni to the party, including Jack the evil clown, Caretaker, and The Director all ready to relive their past gory glory.
From The Mind of Stephen King - Stephen King is responsible for creating more nightmares than any other author in the history of horror. Now the world's most read creator of creepy tales will come to Universal Studios to turn Halloween Horror Nights into a best seller of scares and screams. Join the master of the macabre as he takes you on a tour through some of the darkest corners of his twisted imagination. From the homecoming dance carnage of Carrie to the plague-ravaged wasteland of The Stand to the maze like hallways of The Shinings Overlook Hotel you'll cross the line between fiction and fright as you venture through haunted houses cased on Kings most chilling works. (Note: I kind of like the basic idea here which ties into one of the big draws from Universal Hollywoods short-lived HHN events where they would bring in celebrities (Clive Barker, Rob Zombie, Stephen Sommers, Joss Whedon, etc...) to create their own haunted mazes each year.
The Madmen of the Silver Screen - Their names are legendary, their faces are unmistakable... even when covered by a hockey mask. Meet Jason, Freddy, Leatherface and more as Universal invites the biggest names of horror to scare the daylights out of you. These modern day monsters of the silver screen have terrified millions, now they've joined forced with just one goal, to turn your nightmares into reality. During the event you'll meet them on the studios streets, in haunted houses, and in darkened corners where you least expect them. You wont be begging these stars for their autographs, but you'll be begging for mercy.
You Dont Know Jack - Weve been there and done this one... twice in fact in 2000 and 2001. The summary is Jack the evil clown is back along with a midway of circus freaks, haunted houses, a carnival funhouse of fear, a parade of ghoulish creatures and nightmarish floats that roam the studio streets.
The last one mentions something called Monsterous with no real details, just promises to make the event bigger and better than ever with more mazes, shows and monsters... even seems to indicate (without saying) that both parks may be used. But then the survey also asks if this event description sounds like something good for Disney/MGM Studios, so Im not sure who this idea really is more. The graphics used all seemed to be of 2005 HHN characters. At this point, with HHN being eight months away, anything can happen so let the speculation begin."
