october discounts

An AP is an annual pass to Disney World. If you purchase one for one person in your party, you're eligible for an annual passholder rate for the Disney Resorts, if Disney makes that discount available. Unfortunately, there are currently (to my knowledge) no AP rates out for October, and there's no guarantee that there will be any. So, for this we also wait and see....

I have a AAA rate for our already booked room at the Contemporary in October...waiting to see if either room only discount codes and/or AP room rates come out to get a better deal. Let's all keep wishing upon a star.

Okay...paid balance on 5 + 2 .... but, I am STILL hoping for a room only discount for our first night there--Oct. 1-- (which is not part of the package). Any news? Anybody??

The balance on our 5 + 2 is due in 2 weeks. Like you, I'd like to get a discount for our first night there (Oct 22) which is not part of the package. I hate paying rack rate for that one night .... $383 - ouch!

Same here! Due on September 8th. I have an additional room booked for the kids and I'm hoping for a discount code for that room.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for codes to come out in the next day or two.

The discount codes for October will be out probably in the next few weeks or at least they usually are this time each year. I'll be going from 10/20-10/30 so I'm right there with you in anticipation!

Ours is due on September 8th too. We get to WDW on Friday, Oct 22nd but our package starts Saturday, Oct 23rd.

here's what i know.
sept. 30 - dec 25 with blackouts for november 10 - 13 and 23 - 27.

special rates coming out for sept 30-oct 30

rates with ap are $49 / 79 / 151 value/ moderate/ deluxe

it is also posted on the echo web site.

i posted this 411 on the going to disney for october thread early this morning.

I just got off the phone with Disney. I actually tried to switch over to AP rates and add an extra night onto our stay. Unfortunately, no AP availability left for POR. We would have saved about an extra $300 even after buying AP and adding extra night. Oh well, it was a shot. We are still happy with 5 + 2 and we plan to go to Disney Quest alot!! CM told me to keep checking online for room-only codes....that I will keep doing!!

I didn't receive this email, I know that they have it because it is one of those '20' questions that they ask each time I call. SOOOO, I had a hunch that they were gonna be released so I got up and called anyway. I am saving 690.00 during my 6 day stay. It was well worth it to get up early!!!

to hellochum: keep trying in case someone cancels or does not pay their deposit within the required time frame. if either happens, you can gain the special ap rate. if a person booked this morning and does not pay the deposit within the ten days, that ressie goes back into the pool. since today the new rates were released, call 9 and 10 days from today also try daily in case a cancellation has occurred.

to the other poster that got up early and made their ressies, congratulations. you saved big bucks there........
emails were supposed to have been issued this morning to all AP holders that gave disney their email address. i have found on the mouse for less board quite a few did not receive this email. the email that was sent out stated disney was giving a one day advance notice to pass holders for the special rates sept 30 thru dec 25.

i am also a member of the disney echo and they had released this 411 on the release of the new rates very early this morning. tomorrow all this will be on the disney website.

BAT is what code you need to ask for. it covers:
value resorts:
$55 value season/ $74 regular season

moderates:
$55 value season/$94 regular season

ft. wilderness cabins $149

deluxe:
&149

this covers sept 30 thru dec 25.
black out dates are: nov 4-13 and 23 to 27

I am SO glad I checked the boards when I came in to make the kids lunch!!! Thanks so much macraven!! I kept the 5+2 and was able to change our first night to the BAT and added an add'l night at the end of our 5+2--that was at rack rate, but the CM told me to keep calling back to see if codes open up. Funny thing though--last night when I called there wasn't even a rack rate room available for POR on 10/9 but today there was. It does pay to keep calling.

this is funny...........i spent most of this morning helping others, answering their emails, pm them etc, that i FORGOT to call for my discount...........yea, i am a blonde.........

i called after i sent the last post to this thread. i was on hold for 47 minutes!!
i got my one day discount for after the dream maker package ended. wow. that's cutting it close.

because i paid in advance (May and finished in June) i was paid in full. i have the wdw travel co verification on it. the cm after we were done told me i had a balance of $3.xx and i was paid in full. she contacted guest relations and came back after a 17 minute hold (again) and told me they took it off.

as of July 1 this year, the tax went up at the all star hotels. they removed it as i had paid my bill off in full before then.

hellochum.....got my fingers crossed you get it.......let me know.

i added one day before and one day after my dream maker package 5 + 2 deal.
guess i am doing like you are.
