October Confusion

I'm so confused by October and MHP. We are still trying to figure out a date for our Fall trip, and were now looking at October 3 & 4. But, I see that MHP is on October 3rd (don't think I want to take my 3 year old to this). So here are my questions:

- Will the park be extra-crowded on Monday, 10/3 because of MHP guests coming in at 3:00?

- If MHP starts at 6:00, does that mean the park closes to the general public at that time (meaning, we AP holders would be kicked out at 6:00)?

- Would Tues, 10/4 be more crowded than a typical Tuesday just because it's "Halloween time"...or is it still pretty light crowds?

Thanks.

A Monday party day may or may not be crowded. It depends on how many people take an extended weekend trip and include the Monday party as part of it. That overlap time between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., when the party guests and non-party guests can be in the park together, will be extra crowded, - that was pretty much unanimous last year.

Yes, the park closes to everyone who does not have a separate party ticket & wristband at 6 p.m. on Monday/Tuesday party nights, and at 7 p.m. on Friday party nights.

October 4 will probably be more crowded than a typical Tuesday because it's Halloween Time, which is very popular, and because lots of kids are out on break from Arizona schools until around mid-month. That doesn't mean it will be insanely crowded - just more crowded than a regular old Tuesday during off-peak season. Also, October has gotten much more popular at DLR in the last few years - that's something the Cast Members will even tell you. Because of Halloween Time, it's not the same off-peak season it used to be.

If you are not trying to experience any particular season like Halloween or Christmas, I still think that early November - in between Halloween Time and the holiday season - would be a great time to go to DLR for lower crowds.

Thanks for the info. The problem with early November is that IASW will be closed, and that is the 2nd most important ride as far as my 3 year old is concerned.

It looks like it has to be the last week of Sept or the first week of Oct for us. I can't imagine the crowds would be too much difference once of those weeks vs. the other...and I am still hoping (fingers crossed!) that mid-week on the non-MHP days won't be too too crowded.
