what kinds of discounts can i expect in october? historically have there been any? even ticket upgrades would be nice.

What is "bounceback" please?

At times while staying onsite at WDW hotels they have special discount offers if you book while staying before you check out. Last year during the free dining, they had the free dining bounce back until stays starting later than the current offer that is Sept 20. (last first day of stay). Currently, WDW has a bounce back offer for various dates throughout the year for percentage off your room. 20%off Values and 30% off Moderates and Deluxe.
