I just wanted to update my info. We'll be going on October 27-30th and attending the ToT party on my birthday the 28th. Still staying at HoJos. I can't wait. Does anyone know what the park hours will be at the end of Oct? I'm hoping they will be longer days with all of the Halloween festivities going on.

Would you mind sharing what was scary about it?

Well, to answer a few questions. I actually booked the rooms a couple of months ago with hopes that maybe I could get the entertainment rate. I guess I should just be glad I got the rooms.

We stayed at HoJo's over a year ago. Used the entertainment rate and ended up in one of the two story bungalows in the back. Since there was no elevator, we had to carry our double stroller upstairs and couldn't help but notice the rusting door frames, worn out carpet. The room itself was nothing to write home about. Again, chipped rusting door frames, mold in shower, worn carpet in room. After reading about how wonderful the hotel was, I was disappointed but we had gotten a good rate so couldn't complain. Then we went to the pool and one of the light fixtures blew up shooting up 5 ft into the air, emitting sparks and then going on fire. It was right near the entrance to the pool so someone could have been seriously hurt if they had been entering or leaving at the time. The hotel lobby looked so nice that I was excited to see what the room looked like and was rather let down. We liked the location and the pool. This time I booked the Disney view room so hopefully should have a better experience.

We'll be at the HoJo (park view also) the 6-11th! Still debating weather to get the TOT tickets for the 8th or not. We've been the last 2 years in a row and this year DH won't be with me to help with the kids.

They are out around the HM. Last year we kept "just missing" them. I've seen other people's photos though!

They were out the first time last year. They stopped coming out at the end of the Halloween season, which was November 2 I think.

It was pure luck we bumped into them. They came through a door near Stagedoor Cafe when we wanted to get lunch there last year. Of course lunch right away turned into he least important thing on my mind. I ran after them and my poor friends had no other choice than to follow me.

When we caught up with them Jack even took the arm of my boyfriend's mom and walked her to the area where he and Sally were taking photos. This was at the little plaza thing near HM.

Jack and Sally were so good. Even boyfriend's mom was impressed, and she had never seen the movie or been on HMH before. I had my baseball cap with a Tink picture on. Somehow we got on the subject of Pixie Hollow, and Sally acted all scared because of the "fairy dust" on my cap.

I really hope they are back out this year.

Oh thanks for posting that pic!! I REALLY hope they are out this year as well!! I love the fun characters as well! Peter Pan has always been a "fun" one for us! He took my ds's hand and skipped him all over the place last year! It is so neat to see them having fun interacting with people!!

I love that too. Our first DL trip was made all the more special because Alice and the Mad Hatter grabbed each of my daughter's hands and skipped with her over to Carnation Cafe. Then they proceeded to have a "tea party" with her. Several other kids came up and everyone really enjoyed it. My daughter felt so special. It's my second favorite Disney memory (my first being when DH proposed).

I will be going on this trip too without my DH as he will be working so I am bringing previously mentioned gargantuan double stroller. My girls are 4 and 7 yo but I don't want to carry either or both back from CA at the end of the evening.

Some dates for the Halloween party sold out online last year, but that was some time in late September I think. It were some of the Friday dates, the dates during Utah Fall Break and Halloween itself.

As Vala mentioned, some of the dates, esp. some Fridays sold out online last year during September, but I also remember that for some of the sold out dates, tickets were being advertised at the park as being available for that day. The "day of event" tickets prices are higher though, so if you decide to wait and see if there are some available on a certain night once you are at the park, you will pay a higher price than if you ordered them ahead of time. We are going to the party on Wednesday the 21st and there will also be a party on Thursday, the 22nd. You probably will be able to easily get tickets for Wed. (or maybe Thursday) pretty close to when you would be going because the weekdays don't sell out so fast. So, I think because there are 2 weekday nights that you could possibly go, it would be pretty safe to wait until you are sure you are taking your trip.

Trying to justify TOT. My DH doesn't think it's is worth the $, where can I find more information to try to talk him it to it?

Pamaucla.. cute! Maybe explain to Your DH that only during TOT are adults allowed to wear costumes in the park. No other time during the year. And when was the last time You got to plan costumes and get dressed up?
