Well my DW and I took the plunge this past month and bought our first TT. We have been talking about camping at Fort Wilderness since our Honeymoon 9 years ago. We decided to head that way this October. I made our reservations this morning and will be staying the weekend of October 9th. I think that we are going to surprise our kids (Although I don't know if my wife will be able to keep that from them. She is as excited as they would be) and not tell them we are going until we are on the road. Our plans are to go to MNSSHP that weekend but are there other Halloween activities in the weeks leading up to October 31?

The Fort itself is a huge Halloween activity. Check out all the decorations that other campers share. It is an awesome site. If you are bringing bikes or renting a GC ride/drive through the loops. You will have a great time. You can also take the haunted carriage ride. It's a bit pricey, but we did it. If you have kids it can be scary fun. DH and I enjoyed it, but did not really find it anything more than spooky.
