RonnieJo and I talked about the room-to-room t-or-t'ing. One parent will have to stay in the room while the other walks the darlings around, yes? And, after the party? Not trying to put a damper on things here, but I know Chris and I don't want to "discuss" who stays in the room waiting for the t-or-t'ers (fighting sleep after the party beverages).

I'm all for doing something... just can't wrap my brain around it yet. Maybe a scavenger hunt with candy at each stop would be a good idea. We could be in adult groups, carrying on the party while waiting for the kids to figure out where to go next. Hmm...

Beano- I know the underside of the piano has been spoken for. Has the top? It is, afterall a loooooooong walk across that hall to ... what room am I in again? :confused3

Well, If we do it before the party...we have Palo brunch booked for 11:30 on Halloween, so doubt we could do it unless it was before that.

Pacha

Cheri - You can claim the top of the piano, only if you wear a long gown and sing the old standards, ala Michelle Pfeifer in 'Fabulous Baker Boys"! :rotfl2:

Maybe RonnieJo and I can talk our kids into helping out with the trick or treating... they're too old for it themselves, and they both know every inch of that ship, so they could help lead a 'scavenger hunt'. Nice how I volunteer them for it, huh? :teeth:

If we had all of the room #'s well ahead of time, we could easily map out the best path to each!

"Ok kids, the trick or treating ends at room # 8030, where the adult party is. If you need mommy for anything, look under the piano". ;)

'Beano'

I like the scavenger hunt idea! We could post adults at various parts of the ship with a Disboard T Or T sign and give the kids clues to find them.

Last year they had a sort of paddle ala Disney cruise guide that said Disboard
trick or treating. I'll see if Ginger that organized it last year will give us some tips.

We don't have a room number yet either but you can count Cassie in !! :maleficen

While we're all on the TOTing topic...does anyone know when the costume contest is? I know all nine people in our group are doing the costume contest, so if trick or treating is scheduled for the same time, we won't be able to make it :confused3 This is getting too complicated for my simple little mind :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I say we just put together goodie bags and make all the kids perform their favorite Disney song to get them :rotfl: :rotfl: Oh well, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with some sort of plan that makes sense before October 31st :confused3

As hard as it was, we had to cancel today.

DW fell and dislocated her shoulder at a local water park last night. It was not the 1st time and when she last saw a doctor for it (7 years ago!), she was told that surgery was the only way to repair it and yesterday finally drove it home for her. Surgery is scheduled for the 23rd of this month and she will be in an imobilizer brace for 4 weeks after the surgery and out of action for at least 10 weeks total.
We were looking forward to meeting you all and if all goes well, we may try to rebook when it is closer and we have a better idea of how DW is doing. Thank you all for making us feel welcome and we hope that you have a Magical cruise!

:sad2: So sorry to her that you'll not be with us...you'll be missed.

I hope that Kathy gets to feeling better soon! :wizard: pixie dust to her...

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

:( Sorry to hear about the accident and that you guys had to cancel. I hope everything goes alright with the surgury and that your DW is feeling better soon.

I know I expressed this to you earlier this evening, but I hope Kathy has a speedy recovery. Who knows--if DCL releases FL resident rates and she's doing better maybe you will end up getting to come afterall.

(gentle hugs)

Hi!

ronniejo: please count my son in for Trick or Treating...do you have any idea what the count is up to now?

tstobb: so sorry to hear that you and your family had to cancel! I hope your wife has a speedy recovery from her surgery.

I have more info on the t-shirts and since I have had quite a few questions this past week, I thought that some of you that may be on the fence about them might have some of the same questions. So, here it goes....

I am having them printed on the DIS green colored shirts. The shirts are 100% cotton and are pre-shrunk. We have made some slight color changes to the design (don't worry, still pretty colorful!). The good news is that has dropped the price down to $16.00. There is also a B&W design on a green shirt that is only $12.25...I know that several folks were worried about the cost. Although this design isn't quite as colorful, some of you may like it better and it would save a considerable amount of money. Also, we can order a mixture of both as long as I have any accurate number of how many of each color. The B&W design would have to be printed first. The lady that is printing them will handle taking your payments as well as the shipping. I will provide that information to those that have ordered once I give her the counts. Just so you know...she accepts MC, V, personal checks and also PayPal through her website.

If anyone still needs to see the design, I am happy to send it to your e-mail address. Please just PM me if you need it. I haven't quite figured out how to get it posted! :badpc: You can also go to page 93, post 1391 where Disney Dmb Nut posted links for me. The file is in Adobe.

I hope that helps anyone that has questions! If anyone still has more, please feel free to PM me! Think of how great we will all look at the Sailaway Party!?!?! :grouphug:

 Hi Guys...

As far as I can tell, I count approximately 30 + kids for trick or treating (now that is including some of the teen kids...don't know if they will participate or not :confused3 )

Is it time to go yet? :hourglass

Ok, how about now?....um, now??? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Count us in for ToT'g also - 4 kids and we'll use Cabin #7034.

About what time is it being planned for? We made a Palo ressie that night - hoping it's before the dinners and evening shows are begun. I'm thinking around 3ish for this event would be good a time.

Any word on whether someone got hold of Ginger for guidance? She's Halloween Cruise Queen.

By the way, DCL ressies are up and running fine for our cruise now. We were able to book everything today. For optimal performance, you may need to use IE - it didn't work well with Firefox or AOL, but was smooth as butter with IE.

Tstbob: I'm sorry you had to cancel. I know how Kathy feels, as I have seperated my shoulder twice . The doctor told me the same thing one more fall and surgery will be a must. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

I PM'd Ginger and asked her for some help. Hopefully she'll grace our board with her presence.

They had Halloween candy out at Costco today and I got excited just thinking where we'd be on Halloween !!!!

I LOVE the new smileys !! This one looks like my puppy Dodger :dog2: :paw: :dog2: :paw:

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Tstbob: sorry to hear you have to cancell. Hope Kathy is better soon. :grouphug:

How is everyone doing??

Busy day today it is my daughter Kaitlyn's 13 birthday party tonight :cake: Her birthday isn't till Sunday but since she wanted a night pool party we decided Friday night was best.....yikes....I think she has about 14 kids coming :scared1: Wish me luck :crazy2:

My kids are older but they would still like to participate in the T or T'ing maybe help with some of the younger kids. Well I know my DD does not sure about DS might depend on if something better comes up... :rotfl:

FOr those of you that have teenagers: Do your kids eat at the restaurants with you each night??? Mine are thinking they might like to just hang out at the counter type places...probably so they don't have to dress up... ;) I have told them they have to eat in each of the 3 nice restaurants at least once but haven't decided on them eating at the more casual places on the ship??? What do your teenagers do???

Well gotta get moving for the party tonight. Hope you all have a great day!!

Kim

Trishy: Just so ya' know...our "Dis" party is at 1pm on the 31st (I wasn't sure if you read back enough pages to find that) Also, I am keeping a master list of everyones names...could I please get all your families names and ages...thanks :)

Kim: Our 2 teens...ages 13 & 15 eat dinner with us every night (excluding when we go to Palo) I give them the rest of the time to do whatever they want, so dinner with the folks is always requested (sometimes negotiable) :rotfl:

Happy Friday :sunny: :cool1:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Today begins a hectic month for me-

Leaving in the morning for the Beach (a much needed vacation trust me) and then as soon as I get back 2 days later I have to fly down to WDW for a Travel focus group with Disney (this should be interesting and I'm honored to be going) then I get home and 12 days later head back to WDW with the kids for Trevor's 4th birthday celebration! WHEW!!! I'm not going to have time to think this month.
That coupled with my back injury--SIGH.

But, October and our cruise will be here before we know it. I can't wait. Still haven't made myself go get that darn passport (I really need to get these done!)

Sue Ellen

SueEllen....

Don't wait on the passports!!!! Yikes! We sent ours out at the end of July...and we're still sweating it ...hoping they only take the "6 weeks" they say they do!!!

Have a fun and relaxing time at the beach :sunny:

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower:

Did you guys see my post about the Wonder for September 2006????

They are doing a 10 and an 11 night Southern Caribbean sailing on the Wonder.

How I wish I could do one of those two sailings (but the kids go back to School in September so that would not be a good thing)
