Is anyone travelling with DS's who are in the 10/11/12 year old range. My dear son will be 11 and wanted me to ask. :) He loves meeting new people.
Our boys will turning 10 in August & 12 in September and are looking forward to meeting someone other than Mom & Dad to hang out with on the ship.

Yay! Maybe ast it gets closer they can email. That's so cool.

Anyone else from Mass traveling on the cruise? I am only at page 38 of this thread and I still haven't found anyone. LOL!

:cheer2: GO DECK SEVEN!!! :cheer2:

I am 7619 - near the deck, aft 7 - I am at the other end of the ship from you but we're still kinda neighbors!

OK - paid final payment - now I am really ready to go. :Pinkbounc

For the 7-night Eastern - when is formal night, semi-formal night and pirate night? pirate: Guess I gotta get my Passporter back from my SIL!!

Gotta get my schedule all lined up. Slightly compulsive I know.

For those of you who have cruised before, what are your recommendations for Palo night? Obviously Halloween is out....from what I hear, most of us won't be able to walk, let alone get dressed up and dine like adults!! :rotfl: Remember, I will be sleeping under the piano!!

Hey Cheri - are you still up for wench costumes on pirate night? pirate:

Have a great weekend. Oh-any DD around 6 sailing with us? DD is gettting antsy.

Hmmm... final payment. I hadn't thought about that yet. I wonder if they'd just take one of my kidneys instead. :guilty:

I'm not sure which night we'll go to Palo yet, but brunch is more important anyway! Better than Palo dinner, IMO. Gotta love that pasta w/Boursin cheese! Not to mention the sweet pizza, smoked trout, eggs benedict ... :teeth:

'Beano'

Johnna :rotfl2:

Should I start taking ressies for "the under my piano crowd"?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

And since when did I ever say that we dined like adults (even when not drinking) :rotfl2:

pirate: Pirate wench costumes! How fun!

There are at least 9 or more girls around the ages of 7-8 for your DD to get to know...no worries :goodvibes

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

Hhmm....drinking under the grand piano? Sounds like fun. I'm in. :)

I was just reading about the brunch today. It sounds awesome. Can I make reservations for this in advance too? Also, do you know anything about High Tea. What is it like?

From reading the thread..and I'm now only at Page 45, there are quite a few of us on Deck 7. Maybe we can have a Deck 7 party under the piano.

All deck 7 DIS'ers are welcome!

Problem is, the piano is on deck 8! :rotfl2:

And yes, you can make advanced ressies for brunch, and High Tea as well. I can't recommend the brunch high enough. It is Sooooo good! :earsboy:

I'll let RonnieJo answer your questions about High Tea. I haven't done that - found out they ain't got no beer at it! :rotfl:

'Beano'

I really enjoyed the High Tea. You are served sandwiches, croissants & scones with jam and clotted cream, your choice of many different teas, and a choice of desserts. I went with 2 of my friends...we made it a girls thang ;)

Hugs,

RonnieJo :flower: :mickeybar

Too funny Beano. One short elevator ride up and I'm at Deck 8. Besides, I think I might stay the night under the piano. I've heard it's huge. :)

Brunch sounds great! Can't wait. Hey I hve a great idea. I'll call room service and have them deliver the brunch to me under the piano. How cool will that be! :)

Awesome. That's exactly what I was hoping for. I did the tea at the GF a couple of times. It sounds like the same thing. Can't wait.

Oh, Brunch!!! I love brunch at Palo (gotta have some stollen bread with berries and fresh whipped cream)

I need to find someone to do High Tea with--DH is like Beano--no beer there ;) He is not a tea fan. I've never done the high tea and want to on this cruise. Anyone game?

SueEllen...

I'm game! Enjoyed it last cruise....I'd do it again :goodvibes

Answering my own post...maybe we can get a list together and we could make one reservation for the number of people who want to go. I think it would be fun.

Tynkransmom:
Our youngest DD is 6 also and, like your DD, can't wait for Fall Break. The school system has a week off an the end of October. Great timing!

Bo'sMom:
I don't live there anymore, but I was born and raised in Marblehead. pirate: Going back there to live would just not be the same; all my family has moved away. (sure wish they'd let me know where they moved to.... :rotfl: ) I guess I was born to live in the midwest anyway.

Also did you look into renewing your vows on board for your 25th? We hope to celebrate that mark just that way. We considered it for our 20th, but personally it's a little too early.

Beano: Thanks for the advice, we hope to get a taste of Palo's, but weren't sure what time to try and get. Brunch will definitely be our #1 choice.

Also, if there's no room under the piano, no matter, there's also on top of the piano, the tub, or maybe the verandah. :rotfl2:
