welllll...busted....actually, for what we were paying in babysitters and finding good babysitters (the last one got the sack after coming home a little after 9:00 p.m. and finding her asleep on the couch.....) the aupair in america program is cheaper. We'd have to pay a big lump o cash for the suite. She get's a weekly stipend, and works up to 45 hours a week with 2 days off during the week. So just what we were paying before for a babysitter an hour for 2-3 times a month, we are now getting 45 hours a week for.

I am sure that we will Trick or Treat because this will be the first year she doesn't get to go tot'g w/her best friend. I wouldn't want her to miss out, that's why I cancelled my Palo's for that night. As I mentioned, Saralinda has no idea, so I will pack a costume for her. She has always wanted me to dress up, and I just might this time. If ever there was a place I could get away with a costume, this would be it. I won't look out of place because there will be so many people dressed up. I called DCL and asked them about activities. They said it would be a "family tot'g" which means I would need to go with her, and you would go from venue to venue to get the treats (theatres, other meeting areas) and there would be no tot'g in the clubs, but that they would be having parties. There is a contest for the best costume, most original, most "Disney", etc....

And speaking of the most fabulous restaurant ever PALO's!!!!! I have tried unsuccessfully to book a brunch. Anybody out there booking a large table who wants an interloper to join them??????? That shrimp and crab is to die for dahling.

Lynne

Ok, to keep the peace....I JUST LOVE TO GO TO PALO!!
SOMEBODY STILL NEEDS TO STOP ME...... :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Hate for you to lose any sleep....... :earseek: :love1:

Good lordy loo, I have been sitting here for hours now. I started reading the posts from page 1 to try and catch up with everyone. I am up to page 25 out of 137 I think. Man, everyone's richer than me.....all these big wigs of the corporate world, however will I fit in???

Comments so far on what I have read, other than some of you guys are nutters (but lovely nutters): What's a bushwacker? I would like to do the gondola ride too, but we are not planning many excursions, thru many Carnival cruises, it's been there done that, but would love to go to this party in the suite. Never thought I would get to see a suite, much less be in one. Wish I could have one of those CD's or DVD's so that I can see what you guys did last year, and what everyone looks like. Now we will have 2 Tim's as I have one too, he's from London. Can't get him to dress up though for Hallerween, too stiff upper lippy I guess. Loves to drink beer though, so surely he will fit in with some of you guys. Cancelled our rez. at Radisson tonite and rebooked at the Swan using our Starwood Points (oh how I love free...) for 27th-29th, just need to find a way now to get from the Disney Swan to the Port since I won't have the Radisson shuttle now.....Beano, how bout one of them thar Limo's, can I borrow your's?? Can ya have him just swing on by and get us too??? Normally we would go down just a day before, but went 2 days so we could get the flight using miles (did I mention I like free????) Hey anyone know how far it is from the Swan to the Port?

Lynne

Good Morning everyone!!!

Welcome Lynne and family.

We are in a 12 GTY also, hoping for a upgrade to at least a outside window but hey a veranda would be awesome :cheer2: Actually we booked inside as we where told it is best for 1st timers that aren't sure about sea sickness, however, not sure how true that is.

I keep checking daily for a cancellation on Palo brunch but doesn't look like many are willing to give those up... :earseek: Must be a reason ;)

Well better get ready for work, hope you all have a great day.

2 more sleeps till the boy goes to school
8 more sleeps till the girl goes to school

Hi Everyone,

We're newcomers to this board and just posted a new thread regarding the October 29th Cruise. Then I was redirected to this thread. What have all of you been talking about for the last few months. Waaaaay to much to read!!!

Looking forward to bumping into some of you on the cruise. Hurry up October :goodvibes

Cheers.

Morning!

Did we ever get the info to order the shirts? Sometimes this board moves too fast for me. Got my formal dress out last night and I need to take it to the cleaners. Started putting all my "cruise clothes" on the opposite side of the closet from my everyday clothes..woohoo!!

Beano - I love my widget! It is great to watch anytime! I also found one for Dave Matthews Band..I think I am Wigetaddicted!

I wonder if Tim survived the hurricane? He lives in Boynton and they had some power outages there. TIM! Do you need a rescue generator?

I am still taking orders. At this time all that I need is how many shirts you would like and in what sizes. There are adult and children's sizes available. I am giving the preliminary orders to the printer next Tuesday. Once they are printed I will PM you with the specifics on how to pay - she will ship them directly to you. Please PM with your sizes if you would like to order.

Thanks!

Hey TOMTO....welcome.

Looks like I won't be the only Canadian Family on board. We just live about 45 mins north of Toronto.

Kim

Welcome TomTO!! Info on meets and other stuff is on page 1, post 13. If you have children that want to partake in the Trick or Treating (our own DIS one - separate from DCL's), let us know - we're still taking the head count.

Lynne - hopefully, some Palo brunch ressies will open up before the cruise, but make sure you check again soon as you get onboard in case they don't. People like to cancel last minute, too. (not me, though ;) )

Good luck to those in Katrina's path - looks like it was downgraded to Cat 3. At least that's some good news.

Adding Canadians to the ship - that's great! Now no matter what happens onboard, we can all blame Canada.

Where are you in Boynton...Kate goes to school at Hagen just off Boynton and the Turnpike

Betsy,
I am at Gateway and US1 (Federal). Right on the intracoastal. Almost literally. The water is 30 ft away from my window.

Some of us do serious damage at LV AND go on Disney Cruises!! LOL!! One of my superintendents is going on RCCL for 4 nights the week before we go. He is getting a balcony room and is paying MORE than I am for a week...Oh well...I told him he should just go for a week!
