What did she decide to do it on anyway?

How do ice skates work , of course.

We froze a 3 cm block of ice and placed it in between 2 crates. Then we attached a 30mm wire to two milk bottles filled w/ 1 ltr. of water (each).
We layed the wire across the ice w/ the bottles hanging down. The friction from the wire melted the ice which made the wire pass though the block. Once the wire had passed a section the water over it refroze. The wire passed completely though the block with out cutting it in half.
