**October 28 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

I was finally able to get through and miraculously was only on hold for about 15 minutes. It took only a few minutes to make the ADR's and I got everything I wanted for the times I wanted.

4/10 Sunset Safari and Jiko
4/11 Boma 4:30 PM
4/12 Mama Melrose 5:50 PM
4/14 Chef's De France 12:00 PM
4/14 Raglan Road 8:30 PM
4/16 Le Cellier 5:40 PM

I wanted Lunch with an Imagineer at the Brown Derby for 4/15 but it wouldn't pull up. The CM thought it may still be at 90 days. Though she did have availability for a Fantasmic package at Brown Derby for that day.

Thanks. On hold with WDW-DINE again. I was on hold for 20 mins and hung up on when I finally just went ahead and booked the reservation.

Online is DOWN!

Geez..i guess i am lucky i got up this a.m. and booked 3 adr's early this a.m., online, b/c now it's saying that they are rolling out a *NEW* system and come back when it's up..

You have got to be kidding... This is the message i am getting:

Make Your Reservation
We are currently rolling out a *NEW* online dining application to make your reservation process even easier. Please come back and try our new system when it is available. To make a dining reservation at this time, please call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Gonna try to clear my cache, see if that does anything.. anyone else getting this ?? *Just cleared my files.. and still getting message.. bummer!*

However, was able to get the following early this a.m. -
Ohana's Lilo Breakfast - 3/9 10:55 am
1900 Park Fare Breakfast - 3/14 11:00 am

I was so frustrated yesterday because I couldn't get through online, MS kept telling me that the system was down and after waiting a looonnnggg time to get to CM via phone, I was told twice that the system was down. I did finally speak to a CM who was great and was able to book my ADRs.

But when I checked the online system this morning, I was able to see a lot of reservations, at least the ones I wanted, still available. And I guess I could have just waited until today or until the online system became available to book my ADRs. Instead I wasted 2-3 hours of my day.

I'm embarrassed to say that I just got caught up in the anxiety and my frustration was just an over -reaction.:sad2:

However, I still agree with those who suggested that Disney could have introduced a gradual phasing of the change back to 180 days instead of opening up the reservations in one day. I still believe they should have handled this better. I'm just embarrassed about how frustrated I felt.:guilty:

But I am glad that it's back to 180 days!:cool1:

Anyone else?

I ALWAYS overreact and over plan for vacations. Why should Disney be any different? :)

I didn't freak out, but I did spend most of my day working on getting them, fine tuning them, canceling ones I didn't want, etc. I finally got CRT this morning and I'm now done...for awhile. :)

I didn't overreact. I didn't even start calling until 10:45. I got through at 11 and had my adr's booked by 11:30.

I don't see how they could do a gradual 180 day window.

Ikeep trying to book online but I cannot get the page after payment to load. How do I know if I'm booked?

I was online about 15 minutes ago and booked and rearranged ALL of my ADRs. Some for January, March and May. I had no problem booking and cancelling ones I no longer needed. I liked being able to find better times and having the option of rearranging my ADRs. I'm glad the system was back up and working smoothly for me today.

I agree. It was very frustrating to say the least. I was lucky and was able to get all my ADR's but had to make numerous calls to get them.

I think people freaked out because there are some places that are extremely difficult to get (CRT, Le Cellier, etc). When I looked today there are still plenty of ADR's available for my trip 3/6-3/16 for these restaurants. However I think part of that is due to the system being down for much of the day yesterday and people just not being able to make the ADR's.

We are lucky enough to be DVC members are go frequently to WDW but I still always want my trips to be perfect for my family. DW still teases me over how upset I was in 2006 when they were painting the castle and the crane was up for our trip. :rotfl: Looking back at it now it wasn't that big of a deal. I can only imgine the stress/pressure on people that do not go often to make everything perfect.

However, with many years of Project Management and IT experience I am still amazed as to how the roll out was handled. There definitely could have been a better way to handle it which would have lessened some of the problems/stress.

My DW still has to remind me frequently to stop and take a deep breath. This is a vacation after all. ;)

Thanks for the heads up! I just got CRT online. :cool1:

It did charge me in full though, so I guess I'll have to deal with that over the phone with a CM. I'm so happy though. I'm done with ADRs!

I was able to book on the phone today. This will be my son's 5th birthday dinner. :cool1:

How are any of you getting the on-line system? On my page it says they are coming up with a new system and to check back in a few days or call the 407 number.

I do think that reading these boards just sort of encourages that kind of overreaction. While it's a great way to keep yourself informed, it's easy to believe that if you don't book EXACTLY when your time frame for ADR's opens that you'll have no place to eat but CS for your entire vacation.

If I'm not going during free dining, Christmas, or Easter week and I don't want CRT, I think I can relax about making our ADR's. If we don't get one restaurant, we'll try something different.

I tried on two different computes and could never get all the way thru using Firefox. When I switched over to Internet Explorer it went thru perfectly.

I got CRT 2/8 at 9:00 am!

I'm using Safari. Maybe that's the problem.

I would CRY if there was a crane up when we went! It's DD's first trip after all...must be perfect! I'm driving DH nuts already.

I tried two times yesterday and gave up! I can't imagine sitting and calling all day like some posted they did. I just waited until 6:00 am this morning and booked everything I wanted at the time I wanted online.

Nah, I tried a couple times and gave up. We're not going till end of january so no rush, I'm doing them now though.
