**October 27 2009, 180 Day Reservation Thread**

Finally done! After getting shot down 7 x's due to system failure # 8 was lucky! made all 14 ressies, and pretty much got all I wanted, except for CRT, Feb. 13- Feb. 28. Good luck keep trying!

for those of you who have had success at booking today, what option were you choosing after hearing the pixie dust? Were you going the orlando area/within 7 days route or what? I am on hold again! This will be the last time for now! I just want Le Cellier - the rest are not too critical.

The two times that I've actually gotten to the PD, I have said Reservations and that's all. When it asked about VA and about Orlando area/7 days, I said nothing. I read somewhere that if you say No it transfers you somewhere weird. I got through both times, though when I talked to a CM the second time, the system was done. She transferred me to another less "magical" CM and she told me to call back tomorrow. Sweet.

Well, the GOOD NEWS is that after 20 minute wait on the line, my CM successfully entered the ADR system and was able to search for my first ressie.
The BAD NEWS is that after finding the Restaurant, date and receiving a time - the screen went blank...
But, the CM was wonderful, he asked about all the Ressies I planned to make for the trip and assured me that I should be able to call in the AM when the system was less stressed and that I should be able to get every one of them.
He mentioned that Cinderella's Royal Table, Chef Mickeys, and Le Cellier Steakhouse were the ones to be concerned about. None on my list! But, here is some for those that need one of them.

Ok I got to a lovely CM Victoria Rose,

Her system was down and she offered to transfer me to a new CM who's system might be up. So i'm back on hold. This time it says for 12 minutes. Again, I'm expecting longer.

it's 2:45pm.

(I'm not telling you all this because I am under the impression you're interested in hearing how I'm hold, but It has helped me so much to see what is going on when people call and at what time so that I can judge if I wanted to try again!

Just got off the phone with Mary Jane on the dinning reservation line. She was unbelievably upbeat and accommodating. We were able to book all of our requests including LeCellier but not CRT for dinner.(something about it not being in the system yet )

She was so nice and asked us if we posted on the Dis boards. We replied yes and she politely asked us if we could pass on a message:

Please try to cut them some slack they are doing all they can and it is not their fault.

I was able to make reservations when I got through earlier (about 10am Pacific) and got everything I wanted almost exactly when I wanted the reservation:

1/26 - Boma at 6:10
1/27 - LTT at 5:00 and BBB at 9:30am
1/28 - Le Cellier at 6:30
1/29 - Chef Mickey's at 7:30 am
1/30 - O'Hana at 5pm
1/31 - WCC at 5:25
2/1 - Kona at 7:30 (but now I'm thinking about calling in a couple of days and seeing if we can get O'Hana a little later - no worry and I won't try for a few days, I'm OVER the ADR system for the moment)
2/2 - Princess Storybook at 8:05am



Now I wish I wouldn't have been so OCD and up half the night, it was no problem to get what I wanted when I wanted it.


ETA: I had the CM Merci and she was awesome. Very upbeat and accomodating, and she didn't give up on me when I accidentally put my phone on mute and couldn't figure out how to make it go back. Total panic - but she stayed on the line long enough for me to figure it out.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, call got dropped while making ADR's!!! If they had my reservation number will my ressies still be there??? I didn't get a confirmation numbers, the agent said I would get them at the end. I could cry I have been trying since 6 a.m.!!!!!!!!!!!

I started online at 5am central and finally got all of the ressies I wanted, except for CRT (which I haven't given up on yet) at 1:30PM!!
WhooHoo!!!!

Got through about 2:00 with only about a 6 minute wait. Was not able to book CRT or Jiko; apparently not loaded yet for April. Got everything else no problem: Chef Mickey's, Mama Melrose, Saana, Rose & Crown, Boma, Kat Kora, Crystal Palace, and Coral Reef - - all between 4/14 and 4/21. Will try for CRT and Jiko tomorrow.

After hundreds of calls since 6am I FINALLY got through to DISNEY!



And the system was down

I was finally able to get through on my lunch break (my office mate thinks I'm crazy, I think) 25minutes on hold and about 35minutes making ADRs and our honeymoon meals are booked!!! We got everything we wanted except CRT and San Angel. The CM said to keep trying online and calling back every couple days b/c there may have been a glitch or something with all the problems today. We were able to get:

I'm thoroughly excited to have them all booked. Those of you not able to get through yet, lots of PD and good luck!

I've called and called with a busy signal. We are DVC members and after 15 minutes on hold I had to hang up AND the on-line reservation system is not working....

We are going 1/31/-2/9. Sorry you couldn't get CRT. Were you able to get everything else you wanted?

I just tried to make ressies using the online system but it says that reservations are not available right now. Is this a temporary thing? I see a lot of you had trouble over the phone but what is going on with the online system? Also did the week of March 13-20 seem really busy for anyone who happened to call for those dates? Thanks everyone!

I know! I wonder how many of them were tempted to call in sick today I think I would have planned a short "vacation" right around Oct. 27th if I worked there.

I think my CM was a bit stressed and needed some comic relief.. when I got off hold I asked her if she was glad I called to help pick up a boring-slow day.. She got a fit of the nervous giggles and couldn't stop laughing.

I don't think so. It seems like the CM's system works like the online system where you put them all in the cart and check out at the end. If you were still in the middle of making them then the CM did'nt check out yet. Now if you got disconnected and the CM decided to check out even though you weren't on the line, then you may have gotten them.
