October 26, 2013 HalloWonder Cruise

We would prefer mixology over beer/wine. I would love to get in on the Palo brunch. Mom does not care to go, and I was hesitant to book a solo brunch, so going with new DIS friends would be nice.

Thea

Palo brunch is the best! A group would be really fun if we can do it there would be 5 of us in my group so let me know!

Also I double checked the FE list with the pages let me know if there are any mistakes! It's in my signature!

Has anyone thought about a DISign for a t-shirt for our group? On our cruise last year, the 'coordinator' for the DIS group made up a t-shirt design so that everyone could 'recognize' each other at the meet. Made it a little easier. Just a thought....
I am NO good at that stuff but have seen wonderful DISigns already in this group on the FB Page.
Also making this suggestion on the FB page today.

No mistakes! You can add that we are GTY right now, from Hurst, TX and also celebrating 6th anniversary in addition to the b-day.
His favorite character is Sorcerer Mickey and mine are Belle and Merida.

Thanks for keeping up with all of this! I do appreciate it!!!!!:)

Can anyone confirm this for me? We have not been back on the Magic or Wonder since all of our cruises on the Dream and Fantasy...Does the Magic and Wonder now have the power control decice that you have to slide your room card into to power your SR lights and air?

No they do not. Still old school.

Our cruise must be selling well, the special rates/prices are no longer available. Just the OBC. Glad we booked when we did :cool1:

Looks like Palo Brunch Group for Oct 31 is a go...

So far we have:

Schepp - 2
Puffy23 - 2
Dcassetta - 1
Kjack89048 - 5

Looks like we have room for 2 more in the Private Room.

Since we won't find out about reserving the room until about 30 days out for everyone interested, I'd also suggest making your own Palo reservations when your booking windows open.

Another thing to remember is the tables in Palo are arranged so people can talk with other tables which means the group can be larger than 12 - we just won't be able to get everyone in the private room but we can request that they are seated by each other.

By July 10 I will need everyone that wants to be part of the group to PM me with the names of the people in their party and their reservation number so I can turn it in.

This is great cause with our group we won't meet too many people at dinner! I will still book on our own just in case we can't get the private room. We are so excited for Palo Brunch it's all my hubby can talk about!

Raschelle, is Cailey going to join us for Trick or Treat? I have a 12 year old son and I know he's on the fence. I think part of him wants to. The fact that he's not a definite no tells me he's kind of inclined to,do,it one more time. :-)

:surfweb: Midnight eastern tonight the Platinum cruisers get to book Palo, excursions, spa treatments, etc. :surfweb:

We're one step closer to the cruise! Good luck to those joining me on line tonight (and please don't book the cabana I'm hoping to get!) :rotfl:

Michelle, I'm so excited I can't stand it! I'll be right there with you and Jamie, another one of our group who will be online tonight. :surfweb: We're in a suite because there were so many of us and I wanted this to be a very special experience for all of us. I had no idea at the time the perks that came with being concierge. I have been watching this date on my calendar like a hawk because I have no idea what to expect having never cruised Disney. I feel like the trip has been so far off, which it has, but tonight it will really start to feel like it's really happening!

I have never done a concierge, even after the 17 cruises. What are the perks that are included?
::yes::

Catherine...are you cruising with a Platinum Castaway Club Member in your SR?

No, we're cruising as concierge which means the window to schedule Palo, excursions, etc. opens for us tonight. Onshore concierge sent me an email this morning confirming that we have cabana #7 and are booked for the catamaran snorkeling adventure on CC.

So regarding perks with concierge, I'm only learning as I go along. I've got access to the onshore concierge team which is how I was able to book the cabana ahead of time. They are pretty much at my disposal between now and before we depart for any questions I may have. Once we're on board whoever is assigned to take care of us will essentially do whatever we would need from guest services without us going to guest services. They'll also bring us a daily snack and refresh our non-alcoholic drinks. We also have the option of room service from the MDRs, not just the room service menu. When we board the ship they'll sit down with us and go through our itinerary and identify any other needs we may have and will have some kind of a apps/cocktail hour type function. There's more I'm sure that I won't even know about until I experience it but people who have done it really rave. Again, my focus was primarily on getting us room space for the 7 of us, and not so much the pampering but I'll take it.

I know how you feel, but I bet there is no way that my daughter will turn down free candy :). Maybe they can enjoy it together? I am sure they will spend time in the Edge too.
