So excited we have our cruise book. I will be going with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law for her birthday!! We can not wait. Wish we were leaving today!

This is an active group. Hope to find some post about staying Friday night in Galveston. Also, would Like to join FE group ~ I think my daughter in law (kara Lybrand) may have asked to?

We have been on cruises before, but never done the FE, so please let us know what we need to do.

Hi Rhonda! Kristen is managing the FE list and I'm managing the ToT, Mixology, and Meet/Greet. I see she's started the third FE group so I'll get you added as I'm off work today. In our Facebook group, if you go to the Files tab you'll see a document titled Fish Extender posted by Anita. She was kind enough to put together a document that explains what to do. We've kept it very simple so it will be fun. However, you'll read posts where people are kind of adding to it. It's all in what works best for you.

Regarding Galveston Friday night stays, we've had a couple discussions which I'll try to find and bump up. We found out through one of our locals that Carnival has a ship, the Triumph that is departing the same day we are. So the Galveston hotels are getting full. Some are choosing to stay close to the airport which in some cases is cheaper and then taking a shuttle to the port of Galveston. IAH is about 90 minutes from the port and Hobby is about 45 minutes. What you may want to do is just ask the question in the Facebook group to see what people are doing. We've had quite a few new people join since our last discussion so there might be new information.

I'm so excited I just put a hold on this cruise! Our first was Nov. 12 7 night Fantasy. It will be me, DH, DD 4, ans DD 6!

Thanks so much for the info and for getting us on the FE list, we have a GTY reservation so will let you know when we get a room number ~ printed the FE sheet from FB, that will be extremely helpful. We will be at the meet and greet as well. What is mixology?

Hope to do some research today about a Galveston stay. We are driving so can stay between Houston and Galveston and maybe just park at the port. It's fun doing the research, will post what we find out.

Hey everyone! Just booked me (Michele) and DH Korby on the Wonder for Oct 26! So excited! Took our first cruise ever on Sept. 29 from Galveston and had a blast!
Please add us to the FE list, Meet list and the Mixology wait list - hope there is enough to do a second one! We did a 'Beauties and Beast" get together last year and it was really fun! Probably similar to "Mixology".
Can't wait to meet everyone.

Hello everyone. We are an older couple. Myself (Kim) and my partner(Bob) (we aren't married by choice) will be on this cruise. Bob is a kid at heart and Halloween is his fave holiday. He is always the Grim Reaper (I am trying to get him to change his costume just this once).
I have cruised before (Easter 13 on the Magic) he is a newbie.
We have a GTY so no room number yet. Would like to join the FE and the meet n greet.

Hi everyone ~ hoping for some input. I read some post about where people will be staying and some taking shuttles in from Houston. Is anyone parking at the port? We are driving in and am considering staying in Texas City (or somewhere between Houston and Galveston) and then just parking at the port.

I posted this on the facebook page too, although I know some are not on FB so hoping for their input as well.

I keep checking, but we're still GTY. No room number yet...



(I know, they usually aren't assigned until about a month out - but I'll still check almost every day, just in case!)

Our last cruise we booked a VGT rate and they did not assign our room until 14 days before the cruise. I almost went crazy checking so much. I sure hope they assign the GTY's much sooner than 14 days....there are many threads with people discussing when assignments happen. I won't stalk them yet....ok maybe I will.

Hello all - Switched a December cruise to this one to have some Halloween fun. We have a GTY so no number yet. There are three of us DH, DW, and DD (12).

DD wants to do the ToT so please add us to the list. We are driving and will be staying in Galveston the day before so no problem picking up candy at Walmart before boarding.

Also interested in the Mixology group. Seems like there are enough to start a second group and or starting one of the other tastings (wine, tequila, whiskey, bourbon, and mojitos). We had 43 in our Mixology group last month in Alaska and it was really too big of a group. If you can keep it to 30 then seating for everyone to see what the bartender is doing in the Cadillac Lounge is not a problem.

How about a Halloween Palo Brunch group on the 31st. Private groups are limited to 12 to 14 in the private room. If there is interest we would be happy to request the reservation.

Hiya Schepp! Welcome! We'll get you added to Mixology and ToT. That's good feedback about Mixology. I'll float that with the group but it sounds like the way to go given how many are interested.

I've got you all added to Meet 'n Greet and Mixology. I'm going to look into possibly scheduling 2 Mixology classes. I'll need to reach out to the group so we can see what would work for a 2nd date.
