Just got a "thumbs up" from the rest of the family to make ressies for the 10-2008 DD cruise!

This is the second for my family...but SIL and BIL are cruising for the umpteenth time!

And now, we can say, "2 cruises in the next year!"
Tot for the kids, group Palo brunches, t-shirts, bracelets, scrapbook meet/martini tasting, group photos, various meets, linked dining... I wonder what ideas and events we'll do with this group. Looking forward to a year of planning.

Just to update..Our party has grown as my parents have now decided to join us on The Magic after all!
They were booked to do The carnival Glory but have (at last!) changed their minds..I'm thrilled as it will be great to have them on board. They have cruised loads of times b4 but never Disney & never with us!
They'v just returned from a Med cruise(Ocean Village 2) but were a bit dissappointed with it..Hence the change of minds as they are worried about Carnival & know Disney will be better!

Great news about your parents joining you. I think we should all get commission from Disney for all these extra people we are introducing!!
I wouldn't expect much....a few free drinks, stateroom upgrade, spa treatment, free cruise maybe...?

I am very excited that we have less than 1 year left. I booked a suprise cruise for my family this Dec. We were going to be in Disney anyway at SSR, so I booked a 3 day wonder trip!!!!

That will hold me over until the double dip!
I am hoping the kids love the kids club this time around, and have a few days to get used to it so we can enjoy some time at Palo!!!

Wow, I wish I were coming with you. I am going to be down at WDW with my Mom 12/4-12/11, but a cruise sure would have been nice. I am taking her on a RCCL cruise in Feb with my sister. I try to take her on one vacation a year since my Dad died. My DH really did not want to do the Disney cruise with her, she would not have enjoyed CC as she is not a beach type person ( I did not think I was either until we went to CC). Sooooo.... the only solution I could come up with was a different cruise. I guess I can make the sacrifice.

We are going to be at SSR 6-8 Dec right before our E Caribbean cruise. Just long enough to get over the jet lag and go to DTD for the decorations, shopping and Disney Quest. This will be our first visit to SSR so I'm really excited.

So how long are you gong to keep the cruise a surprise? I can't keep secrets from my DD. Earlier this week I booked 2 nts at Disneyland Paris over Thanksgiving. (I don't know if I mentioned before but we live in Belgium right now.) I figured since it was less than a month away I could keep it a secret. Nope, I only lasted 2 hours before I spilled the beans.

You are going to have a great time. I ALMOST booked RCCl too, it was 1000 dollars cheaper, but I just went for it!!! We will be at SSR from 12/8 through 12/13 and we got on the Wonder on 12/13 too!!!
Have fun, and I would take that kind of sacrifice too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny... I feel the same way you do, I can hardly keep it in. I orginally was trying to book this, and I was having such a HUGE problem changing my flight by one day. We were already booked at SSR for 1 week, so I needed to change my flight to leave on a Sunday rather than Saturday. Finally when I had almost given up, Airtran changed the flight time by 1 minute, on my Saturday, Dec 15th flight. That gave me the right to change my flight with no fees, or except the the new time, so I changed it to Sunday....
Then I already had my 2 rooms on hold, so I called Disney Cruise Line and paid right away. I didn't even tell my husband. I lasted one week, and then one of my daughters said "I would love to go on the disney cruise at Christmas" and my husband just looked at me, my daughter left the room and he saw this HUGE smile on my face and he was like " no you didn't!!!" I said I DID, AND I CAN'T HOLD IT IN ANYMORE!!!!! He was happy!!!! I am glad I told him so I can now run things by him like the Atlantis deal we just got for 169.00 for a room on Friday Dec 14, that will get us into the water park and everything Atlantis has to offer.

As for my children, we decided not to tell them until we get to the port. It is going to be a suprise...When they see the boat, they will know, and we will have the video camera rolling and the girls will go crazy. Michael will go crazy too, because his sisters will be soooo excited!!!! I hope I can last that long...... I can't wait until our Halloween Cruise next year, so maybe this will hold me over!!!!!

I would love to hear how Disneyland Paris is over Thanksgiving!!!! Be sure to fill us in when you return!!!
