Hi, back from my Alaska cruise and Disneyland. Great trip and got to relax. Really needed it after the last few weeks at work. Rained most of the trip but hey.. I like rain. I put on my Mickey poncho and away I went. Of course it did not rain in Disneyland. That was the just about the only sun we had.
When I get time next week I will backtrack and catch up on all the posts I've missed. Next trip is Mousefest and then this cruise (unless I can work another in).

Hey guys, where is everyone? :confused3 I'm betting that this time next year we won't be this quiet!

Question - I remember somewhere last year (I believe) seeing excursions for Costa Maya and for the DD stop at Castaway Cay - ie: deals for snorkeling/float rentals for the two days. Does anyone have those? Gee - only have a little over a year left - need to get organized :rotfl2:

Valerie

Hi Valerie,

I've been wondering where everyone was - I think it will start to get busy early in the new year...

I can't answer the question about Castaway Cay special rates, but I did want to mention that we might not get to Costa Maya. The port has been severely damaged by Hurricane Dean and it won't be back online until at least mid next year...fingers crossed it is available, we were really looking forward to going (plus I can imagine how the local businesses are suffering not having cruise ships coming in).

We were on the DD last Nov and there were special rates for 2 day rentals on CC. It saved you just a little bit of $. I will see if I can find them. It will be very interesting to see what happens with our cruise. I really hope that Costa Maya will be our port but having already been there I can not imagine them being able to rebuild the pier in 12 months. It took longer then that for Cozumel to rebuild .

I realize that Costa Maya probably won't be up and running as a port again by the time we sail next year - but am living in hope - for us and for the people who live in the area . Any idea of what port(s) they are using, or will use, to replace Costa Maya?

HI again!

Not long now (8 days in fact - not like I'm counting) until we can say we
have less than a year until our cruise!:cheer2: pirate: :cheer2: pirate:

Now I know we will all be celebrating next halloween in a really special way - but what are we all doing THIS halloween - is anyone having a party, attending a party, trick and treating, decorating their homes etc etc?

We are having a party / BBQ at home and inviting lots of family and friends, and I hope to decorate the house with some Halloween decor.

I would love to hear about what everyone else is up to?

I came here to check in. We are looking forward to our trip next October very much.

How are the plans for the group Palo ressies going?

This Halloween we will be in WDW! :cool1: My Kindergartner is kind of bummed she just realised she will miss the school activities. They have been practicing songs etc.

Just a few more days and we can say we only have 1 year left!

We're in full packing mode for our Halloween Magic cruise. Several of our DIS group have started trip reports already. We plan on doing one, but only have a title so far. With some help from DW, we'll try to post pictures in our report. Having this cruise already booked will help with our post-cruise blues.
I did write a poem about getting ready for a cruise. Its on the main board.
Here is the link, if you're interested:

Thats a brilliant poem by the way! I am very impressed! I am looking forward to reading all the trip reports from this year's Halloween cruisers, and after reading the pre-trip reports it looks like they are going to make great reading - something to help me throught the gloomy and dismal British winter!

Only 1 year and 5 days until we are on board the Magic! Now that's giving me a warm fuzzy feeling already!!!!:cloud9:

Well this Halloween I have to work 7pm-7am. Bummer. I bought candy for my family to give out but I can bet they say we don't have any trick-or -treaters.Probably my fault for getting Reeses p-butter cups since it is their favorite:laughing:

I adore Reece's Peanut Butter cups - and particularly the Nutrageous bar! I would say these are my favourite American confectionery and we always grab some of these when we go to Florida. It's a good job we don't have access to them all the time or I would have serious problems resisting them !!!

We just returned recently from our first Disney Cruise which set sail 10-06-07-Keys/Cayman/Cozumel/CC. This will be my 4th cruise but 2nd with Disney! We were so impressed with Disney that we booked another cruise onboard. Loved Castaway Cay so wanted to double dip. We were surprised our 2yr old did so well on the cruise. We are VERY happy that she will be 3 at the time of this cruise and will be able to be in the club and not the nursery- hated having to reserve the time- would have been nice to drop off when we wanted!

Cruising will be my DH- Rob, myself- Laura, DS- Ryan 5(at cruise time), DD-Kara 3. We are CAT 6 Cabin 7552 second dining. Hopefully 2nd dining will work out this time- we were 1st seating last time and hated the shows being so late.

Our last DIS group met at the Promenade Lounge wearing buttons ordered from Zazzle- copyright issues so very plain. We also gathered for a breakfast in Luminiers and gathered as a group for margarita tasting.

The best thing we did was organize a cabin tour. Between all of us we had each category except 1 and 3 available. The Cat 2 was amazing! Maybe we could organize something like this - would love to see a cat 3! It is much better than just seeing pictures!

Palos was great and such a bargain at $10 versus the prices of other cruiselines for their specialty restaurants! We ate dinner 2x's there and one brunch- all spectacular!

I will PM Janice and Virginia -cant wait to see the webpage!

We are going on this cruise also. We were on the Nov. 11 2006 dd. We renwed our vows. on that cruise. We had such a good time going twice to cc that we want to do it again.
