I work in Workers' Compensation...

Oh yeah, on top of everything else... my boss is out of town until Fri. So I have to keep everything going. The trouble with my job is you can't do work ahead of time.

On top of that we have upgraded SAP. I still have to do that and take some PC software course online that all employees are required to do. I have to do that before we leave. I just hope I have time, because I'm off on Fri.

I guess I'll get it done, it'll just be a little hectic, especially if we have a lot of accidents.

Even though we are one school we have 2 sites....both head secretaries will be gone on Friday.....yep the place is going to fall apart. Especially her office because the only permanent person in there can't chew gum and walk at the same time.

Susan we're not packed yet either but piles of clothes are in the living room and dress clothes are hanging on doors so we're getting close. I've never had these many clothes ready for the suitcase this much ahead of time before so I am ahead of schedule with that. Rachel is still working on our shirts and door signs and I still have a little to do on my tag gifts though.

Evening all. We are almost done with packing. Just trying to wrap things up. We also overpack. It doesn't feel that way when we are putting things out but when we try to stuff it all into suitcases its like "geez where do we put it all?"
So we have
Small suitcase for Alex
Small suitcase for Julia
Large suitcase for me and some tag bags
Large suitcase for Scott
Carryon size for toiletries some of the tag bags
Carryon size for shoes and extra crap

Then we each have a carryon. The kids are just of entertainment stuff for the plane and ours has our Pirate costumes in them for the MNSSHP Thur night.

Rachel, love you sign!! Too cute.

Rose, gotta love the room credit!!!!

Mike and Jeff, I will sooooooo get them to introduce us that way. The girls will love it!!!!

we are in teh same boat about carrying costumes for the Halloween party....so far we arent too bad - we can take up to 10 pieces as there are 5 of us

- 1 garmet bag
- 1 box with tag gifts
- 4 large suitcases for clothes
- 1 small for little things (so far)

I expect that I will add 1 more small one for odds and sodds as we still have more to go

plus 2 or 3 carry ons

All this talk of suitcases.....

I have not even taken mine out yet. I have had the kids try on clothes and I have finished altering my clothes and sewing costumes. I even altered Alex's tux, but don't look too close.

Tomorrow I am going shopping for last minute stuff and then Emily has a cross country meet. I also have to volunteer at Alex's school. Doesn't eveyone who needs me know that I have the pack!?!

I'm sailing on the 11/17 Thanksgiving week Magic cruise, and I was wondering if one of you could check on something for me next week? I'd love to find out if Erik from Indonesia is serving on the Magic right now. He was our server in June of '05 on the Wonder, and I heard a rumor that he might be on the Magic these days.

Here's our suitcase rundown so far.

Checked:
1 garment bag for dress clothes.
1 costume suitcase
1 suitcase for me (and my shoes, Geez I packed like a girl! 1 black pair, 1 brn pair, tennis shoes, sandals--I live in the sandals during warm weather, I'll use the tennis shoes to work out in, the black pair is for my suit and the Brown pair is for the pirate costume, and tan slacks at dinner)
1 suitcase for Laura
1 suitcase for Stuart and Leah
1 Suitcase for misc. gear, electronic equipt chargers (man there's a lot of them) toiletries, door decor.

Carry on:
Backpack for me: Laptop, DVD player, Ipods, Handheld Dell. swimsuit
small carryon for laura, snacks, swimsuit
Smaller carryons for the kids, items to keep them busy during flight and their swimsuits

I just realized that we also have the mickey duffel that is full of water shoes, toiletries, snorkel stuff, over the door hanger,and I think a travel yahtzee game.
I'm thinking of bringing one more duffel just in case, some of these are close to the weight limits.

I did this and got 144 lbs. Carrie came home and scored 248 lbs and then 450 lbs. To think we do not even fish.

Awhile back you asked if the Ports were still here. Well they still are, plus we have a hockey team (Thunder), a soccer team (Cougars), and an arena football team (Lightening). We have a new arena and some big names are coming and doing concerts lately.

I got my cruise docs today

Best thing......

I was looking through the booklet and came across a page that said
Thank for for booking with AAA use this diamond card for .....
misc.. discounts....
and
cat 10 to 12 rooms get onboard credit of $75.
cat 9 and up get onboard credit of $150.

Now when I booked onboard in 2005, I got a room credit of $200.

So I called my TA back today after looking over those docs and said
Carol, I don't remember AAA offering anything extra do you?
She looked at her info and said no, but that she'd call the main office.

Called me back 10 minutes later and confirmed! Yes we get those credits too!

Now we have $425 in credits! Yeah!
