Nancy you are not bringing the thread down, just updating us on someone dear to you that many of us have been asking for updates on. Here's a hug for you and hugs for Spencer and his family I will continue to pray for you and will say another prayer right now

Dear Kk's

Last night our Godson, Spencer had a huge setback. His mom called us to get us to the hospital asap!

He had yet another surgery (his 6th) and now has pneumonia again, his temp was 105.1 and his heartrate was 168. We were told he is deteriorating fast.

My intention here is not to bring the thread down, only to get as many prayers for Spencer as I can. I promise this will be my last public post about his condition but will gladly answer any pm's.

Please please send him as many prayers as you can.

Yeah Kristin. Rachel still needs to try her dress on for me to see what we can do. She is now spending more time DISing than I am and it has been hard to get her to do much else than be on the kids thread this weekend when we have been home

Cheryl: Yes, Kristin found a beautiful dress yesterday at Gurnee. No alterations needed!

Well that didn't take me long to get caught up here. I guess I'll be able to go now and get some more things accomplished around here. No packing for us yet but I am a pack a day or two before person. In one way I am further than I have ever been in getting ready for a trip because I now have a plastic tote that I have been putting things that need to be packed in so they will be nice and handy in one spot when I am ready to start packing

I'm the same way. Won't start packing til the weekend before. I too have a "for the cruise" pile of stuff I've been collecting. Well, several piles really, kinda scattered throughout the house. OK, maybe I'm not so organized!!

Another question for Cass. I thought I read somewhere that you and Rob gave up soda. Am I correct? Why did you??

I used to drink 2-3 cans of Diet Coke every day but have cut back to one a month now. Actually, I can't even drink it out of a can or bottle anymore. I only like McD's diet coke and then I only get a small one. Not a fan of their food at all except the SW Chicken Salads.

What do you guys drink instead now? I'm a water or plain Iced Tea lover myself.

Cass, how did your Daddy/Daughter weekend go?

Not quite as expected Rob was so tired this morning that I ended up getting up and he was doing chores today and yesterday while I watched Kira so I didn't exactly get the whole week-end but I got a lot of it so I can work on Dis Tag stuff and other cruise stuff! It was nice having Rob home on a weekend for a change. Normally we don't see him at all on Saturdays as he needs to sleep in and usually gone by 1pm and then on Sunday he sleeps till noon or longer and sometimes needs a nap later just to catch up on his sleep!

Yes, when I met Rob I was drinking pepsi and a LOT of it! Rob had been drinking diet-coke since he was a teenager and eventually I quit pepsi and drank diet-coke. We drank SO much of it About 5 years ago after reading some bad stuff about diet-coke I gave it up and evetually a year later ROb gave it up too.

Now I only drink skim milk and iced tea (50% less sugar Nestea) but in the last few months I have cut out most of my iced tea and drink more water. I hate water.


Rob replaced his diet coke caffeine fix with coffee. He sometimes goes to Tim Hortons (popular Canadian coffee place) 2 times a day! I can't stand coffee, I don't even let him kiss me when he has coffee breath

Susan: Great pictures of the boys and their drums. Also, did I see a little Schnauzer in one of the pics? We had one for 13 years. He was such a sweet, sweet little boy. Too bad Cabo didn't pick up on any of his good boy qualities just yet.

Yes that is our Sullie. He is a busy boy and gets into trouble as often as he can. The pekinese in the other boy's picture is Sadie.. She's my princess dog that thinks she is a cat.

They are so quick to become family members... hard to think of them as a pet.

So, I got my hair "trimmed" last week.

OMG, I was SO mad She totally botched my hair! She gave me layers, I dinna want no stinkin' layers And it just looks horrible! So, because I don't want to look like a TOTAL dork on this trip I now have an appointment with my regular hair stylist for Wednesday and will now have to cut it short to get rid of those horrible layers

If my regular girl botches it, I may have to shave my head go bald

Yes, he is off next weekend too which is really good since he hasn't even started packing yet We will need to get everything organized next week-end and ready to do because Monday the 8th is our Thanksgiving and we will be with family so won't get much done that day and then we are leaving our house at 9:30 AM on Tuesday morning for the airport! OMG, that's SO exciting

Wow! Totally slow night on the boards! Well, I'm home. I got three more days to this stretch and then I have a couple of days off. I'm hoping to pack a lot of non-essentials then.
