Hi Rose--sorry to steal your FO--I am back reading quite a few pages trying to catch up.

Hi Victoria!
No problem.... I'm trying to catch up too! about 50 pages worth and I really don't have much time.

Guess while everyone else is online more now that our time is drawing nearer it seems like I'll be on less because I still have so many things to do to get ready for the trip!

Hi di. Good to see ya.

Here's our wedding pic.
We'll be celebrating our 32nd anniversary on the cruise.

Ok, people... Start posting wedding pics. :goodvibes

Wow, Robin, how old were you?

14?:rotfl:

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on my Godson Spencer. He is still in the coma and now to add to all his other injuries and the coma, he has a bowel obstruction which will need surgery, his right lung will not inflate (another surgery needed) and he has pneumonia.

He has not responded at all to anyone except for a finger squeeze every now and then. Hopefully that is a little good news. It just seems he takes one step forward and two steps back.

Please continue to pray for him and send good thoughts his way.

Thanks everyone

 to you. And he remains in my prayers.

I was the same as you Robin. a jeans t-shirt girl. a plain jane. I still am. i have never used a can of hairspray. My girls and granddaughter are very particular with their hair. They take time to make sure it is perfect. Even Asiah who is 6 does. She is so cute. I wore a tieshirt and boxers to bring her to school. She said Gramma you drove me to school in your underwear. She always dresses to a tee. It is her mothers fault. She wouldn't leave the house not looking perfect. Remember she is 6. Diane

A perfect princess:

HI KAREN ,
we did MNSSHP last time we were there two years ago and its just great you will have a ball , if you go to wall mart and get a plastic orange h-ween bucket , which is used to trick a treat you will have enough sweets to last you a full year, i have never seen so many sweet at the stations in all my life and when we left they gave us a nice carrier bag and filled it with candy !!!!!! great thing to take on the ship and give to the people who look after the children?

we have ordered our money from crown exchange , have you ?

we are only using PE on the way back to get a good sleep and they offered it to us at £88 pounds each you cant really turn that down can you? the last time we went we were in sunshine first on tcd and that was really nice but as you know thay are not flexable with dates, and as you say it gets you there and thats all that really matters, i cant belive its only four weeks before we go.

where have you got your car from? are you parking at the port or returning the car and re-hire after cruise?i am booking at the end of the month as you say pay day!!!!

My goodness Sean - nothing for months and then a million messages in one day:lmao:

Havnet ordered our money - we just call into the local TA and get them from there. Most of our bills go on card. Better rate than any exchange on currency. If its over $10 it goes on card.

I will definately get a bucket from EWlamart for the sweets - I've gotta fill those distag bags up somehow:rolleyes1 :lmao: - only kidding folks:rolleyes1

Got our car via Virgin - not the cheapest way but we get a free upgrade and its waaay less hassle. We'll be parking it at the port with our other suitcase (and shopping!) in the boot.

Go get 'em, Karen!

What is ordering money?

I got a little carried away...I get like that if someone is being an idiot:mad:

I'll look up that recipe. Can she take that in cold?

She could but it might be a bit greasy. I eat them cold. When you take then out of the oven you could dab them with kitchen roll to absorb ny grease. That would help a lot.

Karen, congrats on getting your boo bouncing! You are getting the hang of this stuff.

Only with the help of my disser friend (aka Cass:thumbsup2 )

I believe Sean and Karen are talking about exchanging pounds / euros for our weak and sickly American dollar - foreign currency exchange is probably a lot easier and less expensive on their side of the ocean than it is over here. Most US banks have to order foreign currency for their customers and it takes a couple of days to get (unless it's a really big bank in a really big city) and they usually won't do it all for non-customers.

Feel free to correct this ignorant Yank if I got something wrong. :goodvibes

Nope - totally correct:thumbsup2 - not ignorant at all - bang on:thumbsup2

Karen--I didn't even know that this type of allergy existed! I guess I am really lucky that my kids don't suffer with this; they surely would have been in real trouble with me not knowing about this stuff. To be honest, when I first read the posts, I thought it sounded unreal--Your post gave it "credibility" with me. I knew that some people suffer with nut allergies, but I had no idea that they could react without ingesting nuts! Amazing! Horrifying! I think the bigger question for that thread is, "What is happening to our world and environment that is causing such an allergy?" This is mind boggling..........

When you first found out that Ellis had this type of allergy, you must have wanted to just keep him so close to you. I know I would have. You are one strong Aussie, my friend!

You just have to be exta vigilant and always have a big handbag - medication:rolleyes:

I have got used to it - to start with I was scared - now I take control of the situation and then panic once its over and h'is medication has kicked in. Its scary at the time cos Ellis cries "Am I GOING TO DIE?" Not the best thing a mum wants to hear her 7 year old ask, so its lots of reasurance and calmness even though you're panicking like hell inside.

The worst times for me are on an aeroplane. I have to sign all sorts of crap to get onboard with Virgin. Sort of disclaimers etc. God knows how much it would cost if we evert had to do an emergency diversion:rolleyes1

Karen, are scones actually from the UK? I was thinking about that yesterday, but didn't want to suggest it until I could verify. You can buy scone mixes in the grocery store, and serve them with jam. Thoughts?

SCONES! - YES!- A PERFECT SOLUTION LORI! - Why didnt I thinkk of that:rotfl: Well done Jen:thumbsup2 We serve them with jam and thick cream

you got it!:thumbsup2 I know the other day Karen was talking about eating something and it ended up just being a sandwich but that is not what she was calling it.:rotfl2:

It was a buttie

I think Karen was talking about a buttie. ;)

Ya beat me to it again Brenda:lmao:

That's it. It just sounds so funny! Not too appetizing!:lmao:

Dont knock it til you've tried it;) . Crispy bacon, runny egg, ketchup and brown sauce all stacked up on crusty bread - delicious!

He hasnt been out of them Nancy. Big hugs to you all. That finger moving is a positive sign - cling on to that and keep strong.

I love how both mojitos are already at the table!! You just can't trust the waitstaff, can you?

It was a 2 for 1 offer - it would have been rude not to take the 2nd one right;) :lmao:

HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY ELLIS!

 :bday:

I hope you had a great birthday party!:thumbsup2

Thank you! - his 2nd party for his new class mates is this saturday

I love scones.....so good!

Lori, I know my grocery store carries scone mixes near the cake mixes/muffins, or you could find recipes from scratch online. They can be served cold, and in individual portions!

Just got home from dropping Rob off at the airport, he's off to Halifax on business till Friday.

Kira has been teething for the past 2 days and is super duper cranky! She did really well with her first 4 teeth, only a bit cranky but these two have been trying to push through for a week now :sad2:

Poor pumpkin' :guilty:

Thanks for all the suggestions.:thumbsup2 Heather also suggested Jam tarts. Will have to look into all these with Alex tonight.
As for the buttie. Way too much food touching!!:scared1: And then sauce!! NO WAY! The bacon sounds good though!

I will be dropping by the store on the way home to see if they at least have the mix. Great idea.

touchdown browns. dont get to say that very often.

Oh, boy....
I hope it will be a good game that I bought those birthday tickets for Bob on November 11...
Steelers vs Browns....:confused3

BTW....
When you meet Bob on the cruise...... no mention of this!
It's a surprise!;)

what are your travel dates?
some people have said you can get a good deal on PE at the airport but i am not to sure about that because it seems very popular ,

when we check in at orlando airport is there a different check in desk for PE and UPPER?

Sean - we fly on 18th and return on 27th. I think there is separate desks, but unsure as we us Downtown Disney check-in. Gives us the day back.

Has anyone else been checking the Florida weather?? :rolleyes1

Hmmm...now I'm hungry for scones! :rotfl:

Me too Jen:rotfl:

Kira has been teething for the past 2 days and is super duper cranky! She did really well with her first 4 teeth, only a bit cranky but these two have been trying to push through for a week now :sad2:

Poor pumpkin' :guilty:

Poor little princess. I used to give Ellis a nice cold carrot to gnaw on when he was teething - it used to help him. Give her a big hug from me:hug:

I really hate airlines.
United changed our flight on us from Orlando to Chicago, so now we don't have seats (I had booked this flight with good seats about a year ago!)
so I just called them and all they have left is three seats....in different aisles.

Ok, so whoever is lucky enough to sit next to Kira gets to feed her and change her diaper and keep her entertained for 3 hours! :thumbsup2 Rob and I will be enjoying a little nap, so could you keep it down over there!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:
