We are not flying. We will be driving from Louisiana to Port Canaveral. It is about an 11-12 drive, depending on how many times you stop. We will be driving in on Friday.

Are you driving straight through, or stopping along the way? I miss those beautiful Gulf Coast beaches! Amazing to me how different the beaches of Florida are so different, eg, Pensacola Beach is so white and powdery and Jacksonville is course and tannish. I guess the Gulf of Mexico is somewhat of a filter,huh?

If any of you are looking for a nice beach vacation, try the Gulf coast, it's absolutely beautiful!

I've had to fly cross country before...It's about 4-4.5 hours flying time......

for a minute there, I thought you were going to make a pit stop in Louisiana. I had a list of restaurants ready for you.

I suspect we'll just get return flights to Orlando and then just get a one way to somewhere out west then drive down to Steve's house to the giant bring a bottle party he's so gracefully invited us to...

Good Morning Karen. I'm ready in the sense that I'm ready for it to be time to go, but I'm not actually ready--I haven't starting packing. I guess I need to make a list of everything I need to do and then, starting doing it!! I guess when I receive my cruise docs, it will put some urgency in the need to starting getting everything together.

I started apcking a while ago but havent finished yet.

I think thats what most people can do. Most people will be in the wino session so its the best chance we have of getting everyone together.
Are people wearing the t shirts they've made? I want to wear mine to board, but may change my mind if most people are wearing them for the photo and wine thing.
