I've done it too. Stuart, for some reason, became crazy fearful of the Haunted Mansion. I knew that it was toned down for Haunted Holiday so I forced him on it. It's become his favorite ride. He now can't wait until we can see it in its non-holiday state. I tricked him onto splash mountain, didn't tell him about the end, HE LOVED IT! He'll go on that ride over and over.

Thanks Steve,

Gosh, it feels like I'll never get over that horrible parenting moment, I just always still feel guilty and it was over 8 years ago!

Speaking of being out of it....

I had a very scary experience tonight. I lost time, not exactly sure how long but I think it was about 10-15 mins. It's never happened before and I am still feeling a little freaked out and worried.

We went upstairs to tuck Kira into bed and to say prayers. I remember going up there and I remember starting prayers, but I don't remember finishing them and I don't know what I did afterwards. I don't even remember leaving her room. The next thing I remember is looking at the bonus room (Rob and my brother had just finished moving my computer from the bonus room to my scrap room downstairs) and I felt very displaced. I didn't really recognize the room and then I walked downstairs to where Rob was putting my computer together and I didn't recognize any place I was going...almost like I had never been in this house.

Rob looked at me and asked if I was ok and I sat on the stairs beside him and just started crying. It was really scary, for both of us I think. He walked me through the last 30 mins and I realized that I don't remember leaving Kira's room.

It was very scary. Still is actually, I feel a little disoriented still.

I have never EVER not remembered something. Not even when I was young and drank like a lush. Even when I was completely plastered I remembered everything. I am the kind of person that can meet you once and not see you for 10 years and I will remember who you are, where I saw you last and what we said to each other, so for me, this is very scary.

Think I am gonna go do some research on this!

Cass

OMG how are you feeling today. Could it possilbly be stressed induced from the move and all or maybe a lack of sleep induced, again from the move. Sorry those are the only suggestion I can come up with. I hope you are doing much better today. Keep track of it, just in case it happens again.

Hey Nancy,
Could you give me price range examples of what Shirley's baskets cost?

Glad to have the company!

Seriously trying to find a purse or 2 that I like on EBAY.

Most of those new purses they have out on the market today I truly HATE, I think they're SO UGLY!
I don't care if they're fashionable...They are FRUGLY!

Only stayed for about 5 hours but had 2 extra large water bottle size wine slushies!:woohoo: :thumbsup2

That knocked me out for the rest of the evening after we got home:upsidedow

party:

Will Lindy loo make it here today:confused3 .....Karen are you leaving from birmingham or Manchester (Home of the gods united on the 13th?....:)

Manchester - Virgin - probably staying over the night before so its not such an early start

Karen: Great photos. What the heck kind of camera do you have to get such beautiful "action" shots? And poor little Ellis. Did he recover from his allergic reaction quickly? I can eat any kind of nut except a hazelnut. I will puff up like Ellis within minutes myself.

Once, I had such a bad reaction that I had to go to the hospital and my shirt had to be cut off because I swelled up so badly.  There, that's it!! I guess I never came down from my reaction..that's why I'm still so fluffy.!!

His swelling went down gradually and was back to normal 2 days later with a few spoons of piriton and loads of cuddles:hug:

I wish it was just swelling that Ellis got:sad2: - he gets the full works unfortunately anaphalactic shock etc:sad2:

I only take about 8/10 contracts a year so am more often than not at home....Am hoping to take Hazel away before we cruise but am not having much luck with dates for where we want to go....:sad2:

Contracts? :scared1: How much would you charge for a contract on Neils head?:rotfl2:

Rent Boy Karen?

Heather

I knew someone would have to comment:lmao: - you could hire (rent) rings for the day or just wait for a free one to appear.

Cass, just caught up with your posts about not feeling well.

I am sure its a sign that you have been doing too much and probably not eating and sleeping regualry. I would get it checked out by the Doc, just to be on the safe side. I had something similar happen to me when I was sitting an exam at school, I couldnt rememeber how to spell my name... !!! I know how thick is that, Im sitting an A level ( advanced level) exam and I cant spell LINDA!!!! I wrote L I N D E R in the end... i did the exam ( but "lost " the first 15 mins, cant remember a thing) I then clicked back, and flicked over the page to re read my answeres and corrected my name without even thinking. I so didnt rememeber answering my first question, that I had to ask the teacher after the exam to check. It was so serious I went to the doc, who told me the brain "turns off" to protect itself, when under pressure or havign too many things to deal with. Your body kind of goes on auto drive. He said for me it was nothing to worry aobut unless it happened again, which it hasnt. I didnt even think i was that stresses, but the doc said my brain must have thought different !!!

Take care........... :grouphug:

I did exactly the same in an exam with the word "who" - couldnt for the life of me think how to spell it ....kept wanting to write "how" but knew it wasnt right:confused3

Thanks you have all been so wonderful, I guess im just nosey and cant bear to miss out on anything.

My friend is now going to the halloween party at MK, on our recomendation. We werent doing it this time as time for the parks is tight. Now I feel we are missing out and we might just squeeze it in. !

Got to go now back to the house to meet the dryer people. Fingers crossed we get out certficate of dryness today !

Go on the 16th Lindy Loo - we can have a mini meet!

Oh I'm so glad other parents have done this too!
I thought I was the only evil one.
Except I made mine cry by forcing him to go on the first time.
I bet you weren't that cruel....
Guess I'll burn in hell for that one:rotfl:

Mine liked it afterward but said he didn't really want to ever again, and I promised him I never would make him again, and I haven't.

And he was the same about Splash Mountain.
He really liked it inside but said he'd never do it again because of that end drop.
He never would even try BTMR.
The forced ride was Space Mountain.

Oh yes, he cried:rolleyes1 - we only do it on the rides we know he'll love...he doesnt like doing new things...he gets very intimidated over new stuff and backs out without a big push from Mom he wouldnt do anything new.:rolleyes1

Karen, how was your vacation?

Great thanks - more photos to come later - sorry!:rotfl2:

Carrie,
How was your date with your husband and are you feeling any better?

Our date was ok. It was hard to get into a date mode with the funeral and pay your respects thing that took most of the day. I was just mentally and emotional drained. So I really did not want to do much. We ended up going to borders to look for a book that Scott has been wanting to get (no luck) then we went for a quite dinner at WildFlower for soup in bread bowls and half sandwhiches. I really did not feel like eating and I did not want to anywhere that was noisey. This was just perfect. Very nice and relaxing. I am glad Scott made me go.

Hmm I am thinking Shepherd's Pie

:

OOOOHHHH!

Do you have a great recipe?

I LOVED the one I had years ago at the Rose and Crown at Epcot!

but I've tried to find a similar recipe I like and don't like any of them as well.

Not much happening in our life right now. Still dealing with Kelsey not wanting to live with us but what else is new.

Kelsey has hit the preteen/teen attitude of "I can do whatever I want whenever I want and you can tell me no different" She is in trouble at both households right now but mom is more laxed on her punishments so of course she does not want to be with us.
