Speaking of being out of it....

I had a very scary experience tonight. I lost time, not exactly sure how long but I think it was about 10-15 mins. It's never happened before and I am still feeling a little freaked out and worried.

We went upstairs to tuck Kira into bed and to say prayers. I remember going up there and I remember starting prayers, but I don't remember finishing them and I don't know what I did afterwards. I don't even remember leaving her room. The next thing I remember is looking at the bonus room (Rob and my brother had just finished moving my computer from the bonus room to my scrap room downstairs) and I felt very displaced. I didn't really recognize the room and then I walked downstairs to where Rob was putting my computer together and I didn't recognize any place I was going...almost like I had never been in this house.

Rob looked at me and asked if I was ok and I sat on the stairs beside him and just started crying. It was really scary, for both of us I think. He walked me through the last 30 mins and I realized that I don't remember leaving Kira's room.

It was very scary. Still is actually, I feel a little disoriented still.

I have never EVER not remembered something. Not even when I was young and drank like a lush. Even when I was completely plastered I remembered everything. I am the kind of person that can meet you once and not see you for 10 years and I will remember who you are, where I saw you last and what we said to each other, so for me, this is very scary.

Think I am gonna go do some research on this!

I agree with everyone so far too.....Take a couple of days to do nothing. GET SOME REST! :goodvibes As long as you have a bed to sleep in and Kira has her room set up (familiarity), you'll be ok for a few days. And don't cook either. Order out. Eat ice cream. And pizza. And chocolate. Watch soap operas.:rotfl:

Seriously, Cass, try to take the next couple of days off for rest and then see how you are feeling.

There, that's my piece of unwanted advice for the day.:lmao:

Hope you are better soon.:hippie:

hello Paige, soooooooooooooooooooooooooo great to be on line at the same time !

Cant wait for the cruise....................... we so need a holiday ! :cool1:

Linda, I feel the same way as Nancy. If there is anything I can do for you, you just have to ask. You really haven't missed anything important on the DIS.......

Yes, we did it last time with Chuck's suit. This is ironing I should have done after they were laundered. His dinner shirts are mostly Rayon so, they wrinkle easily. I LOVE to iron anyway. Quite therapeutic for me.:thumbsup2

Nancy - you can come and do mine anytime....I hate it.

Cass, just caught up with your posts about not feeling well.

I am sure its a sign that you have been doing too much and probably not eating and sleeping regualry. I would get it checked out by the Doc, just to be on the safe side. I had something similar happen to me when I was sitting an exam at school, I couldnt rememeber how to spell my name... !!! I know how thick is that, Im sitting an A level ( advanced level) exam and I cant spell LINDA!!!! I wrote L I N D E R in the end... i did the exam ( but "lost " the first 15 mins, cant remember a thing) I then clicked back, and flicked over the page to re read my answeres and corrected my name without even thinking. I so didnt rememeber answering my first question, that I had to ask the teacher after the exam to check. It was so serious I went to the doc, who told me the brain "turns off" to protect itself, when under pressure or havign too many things to deal with. Your body kind of goes on auto drive. He said for me it was nothing to worry aobut unless it happened again, which it hasnt. I didnt even think i was that stresses, but the doc said my brain must have thought different !!!

Take care........... :grouphug:

Well, I'm off to take Alex to school.......

Y'all have a great day! Linda, keep your chin up, girl! Can't wait to see you face-to-face!

Wow, I haven't been on since Friday I think and you've only done about 25 pages or so!

Yippee!

That won't take me long to catch up!

ok,...whats a foo foo?:confused3 fancy, girly drinks.....
Cosmopolitans, Fuzzy Navels....
you know....stuff most guys won't drink....or at least won't admit that they have, even if they like them!:rotfl:

Ewk! - sorry but I hate fish. I cannot stand swimming in seas with loads of fish - I'll be the nutter splashing around in ankle deep water petrified incase one comes near me.

Me too Karen! But I'll still go to Stingray city though, and I'll snorkel too, but if any get too close....I'm either quickly swimming away from them or I'm out of the water!
Teeny tiny fish that stay away are ok!
But snorkeling over at CC with my son in 2005 there were some REALLY BIG fish under there and I was gone in seconds! My son came up out of the water and yelled out to the beach to me..."Hey, why'd you get out?"

I yelled back..."There's fish in there!"
:rotfl2: :lmao:

DUH....!!!!

Ellis was terrible about going on the rides last year:sad2: ..He even cried in line for Peter Pan:eek: . However, once the bad parents had dragged him on once so he could see what it was like he was eager to rejoin the queue and go again...and again...and again. He was much better this time at Port Aventura (Universal Spain). He wouldnt go on the coaster similar to thunder railroad to start with, but then rode it 4 times in a row once he'd got over his initial fear. Its the drop on Splash that Ellis hates.

Oh I'm so glad other parents have done this too!
I thought I was the only evil one.
Except I made mine cry by forcing him to go on the first time.
I bet you weren't that cruel....
Guess I'll burn in hell for that one:rotfl:

Mine liked it afterward but said he didn't really want to ever again, and I promised him I never would make him again, and I haven't.

And he was the same about Splash Mountain.
He really liked it inside but said he'd never do it again because of that end drop.
He never would even try BTMR.
The forced ride was Space Mountain.

I think I did it once when I was a kid but that was about 30 years ago and have not done it since.

It's still freaking me out a little but I can't seem to find too much about it on the net, though I am still looking.

If it happens again, I will be going to my doctor, I can't imagine that happening if I was driving or something, especially with Kira is the car!

Hopefully it was a one-time thing cus I don't ever want that to happen again!!

Probably was. Get checked out by your physician just in case. I can't honestly think of anything that would cause such symptoms. A spontaneous blackout could be cause by a Petit Mal seizure, but then again you would not be walking around much during such. (Usually, one just sits and stares off into space) Exhaustion is a likely cause. I once woke up in the morning, in my bed, when the last thing I remembered was driving down the freeway 40 miles away. I cannot remember that drive for anything! I was exhausted then. I worked 45 miles from home, I was working 12 hours a day for 7 days a week. And had been doing that for months!

Karen- excellent Pictures! It looks like you had a great time.

I've done it too. Stuart, for some reason, became crazy fearful of the Haunted Mansion. I knew that it was toned down for Haunted Holiday so I forced him on it. It's become his favorite ride. He now can't wait until we can see it in its non-holiday state. I tricked him onto splash mountain, didn't tell him about the end, HE LOVED IT! He'll go on that ride over and over.

Cass - love the pictures of your new home and Kira - just lovely!! :thumbsup2

Auntie Karen... Plankton's ready to go with you on the cruise next month. Look, he's already packed:

Can't wait to meet Plankton!
Just wishing his parents were coming too:hug:
