I am melting. I had to clean up a spill of dippin dots in the kitchen about 20 minutes ago but I have been having one big hot flash ever since. Does not help with the heat around here.

How weird is this. Scott and I are both only children also.

Did you ever get funny looks when you told people you were both only children? Dave and I get funny looks all the time about it. It's like "You mean NEITHER of you have any siblings?! Get out of here!"

My child just asked for a glass of milk. I need to put this on the calendar. She really never drinks milk unless we make her.

We get the looks and then we even get told "then you have no idea how to relate to your kids since they have siblings and you didn't"

While growing up it was like people felt sorry for me being an only child.

Nothing wrong with being old! Isn't it ironic as children all we want to do is get older and as adults all we want to do is get younger?

nothing really. they say you are only as old as you feel and we still feel and act young.

See, I don't think that's true at all! The relating to your kids cause they have siblings part. I mean, I had a bunch of cousins that we had rivalries with... and sibling rivalry isn't exactly brain surgery lol

And some days I feel like I'm 60! It all balances out!

See neither of us have cousins that we grew up with either. For me it was just my parents and then out of state I had 2 uncles and my grandparents

Just finished balancing the check book and paying bills, and paying the kids a month worth of allowance. That was enough to break the bank right there.

This is just getting to weird. I am adopted. Now get these numbers. My birth mother is 7 years older then my DH (Scott). I am 7 years younger then Scott. Scotts second step mom is 7 years older then him.
