It's their rules. Just like they need our passport numbers 75 days before the cruise!! AND they take our passports away from us during the cruise and we don't get them back until Castaway Cay day!!

I don't think there is a way around it, sorry Americans don't NEED passports just yet, so they won't be taking yours. Non-USers DO need a passport to cruise so they take ours.

I must put if out there. If you all see a scene being caused in the terminal while checking in, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee don't judge me. It won't be me or Scott but it will be my parents. I am not like them, please don't avoid me on the ship because of them. I would advise not to approach me during check in if there is a scene being caused.

Here's a challenge for all you non-WIers, try to do it before us WI KKers are done with our meet tonight. We start at 6:00 CDT. Not sure how long it will last.

Now if the VD would show up, I'm sure they'd get it done. Otherwise, it may be up to Carrie/Scott and Mike/Robin. We'll be done before Cass gets on tonight (well at least the restaurant will kick us out before she gets on ).

Does anyoen know the reason the DCL wants your bithdates before releasing your docs to you?

After paying everything off yesterday we have now reached a road block that I am trying to get around somehow.

That is kind of weird. Don't they already have everyone's birthdate from the booking process? If you find out why, let us know.

I don't have my docs. I won't get them until like two or three weeks before the cruise.

You MUST make yourself a t shirt. - all great Konkers are having a t shirt You have ages yet to make them. I havent even got my paper yet and no doubt I'll ruin at least a dozen t shirts before I get one that works

Coupons - yes we get them here in the UK, but not as often and frequent as USA. We dont tend to get them for things like restaurants etc...usually just food items in the grocery stores etc.

I'll go read the directions again but I am not as crafty as you all seem to be.

We should be getting our docs about Sept. 19th. But here is the kicker. Somehow when our TA booked the cruise for us she never got our b-dates. No surprise we have had nothing but trouble with this company this time. We have been through 5 TA's and none of them knew what they were doing. Now this one is on top of things and knows what she is doing. Well I found on in March when I called DCL to ask a question that they did not have the b-dates and that they needed them. So of course I did not ask anyquestions and I gave them our 5 b-dates. But I did not know the year on my parents so I called my mom and told her that she needed to provide them to our TA our DCL for them. She told me in March, "we don't need to do that. We have never had to give them those for any other cruise." I gave up in March it was not worth fighting. Then my mom got sick in April so I called DCL with some more questions on what we could do about their reservation and they still needed their b-dates. So I told my dad about it in the end of May when we knew that they would still be going. He blew me off like he never heard me. Well yesterday when we went to pay everything off. I paid by check and our TA mailed that over to DCl and phoned in the fact that it was on the way, while I was sitting right there with my mother and father. They paid by credit card so she gave them a reciept and said for us to go (mom was not doing well) and that she would phone it in after we leave. I got a call in the afternoon from our TA stating that she had just got off the phone with my mother because when she phoned in their payment DCL informed her that they still did not have b-dates for my parents. If DCL does not have those dates they will not release their docs. So here is why she called me. One my mom refused and hung up on her. Then because my SDS is in the room with them on their reservation his docs will be held also even though they have his b-date. Because his docs are linked to them. Which means he would not be able to sail. So my TA asked me to get involved and get the info from my parents. Of course I left a few messages for my parents yesterday and no one called me back.

Oh the main reason DCL gave was that with people ending up missing off of the ships, that they need to have your birthdate to give to the officals. This is their way of getting your age without comming right out and asking how old you are. Also they said if the ship was to ever go done they need the information for that purpose also. That and if you get injured on land and seek medical treatment on land they need it for that also.
