Oh! Hey! I didn't even notice that! That is way cool! At the rate that I post--it's really quite an accomplishment.:cool2:

Hey, at the rate I post I'm not even at 100 yet and I've been at the DIS almost as long as Cass. I'm just a lurker... :surfweb: :rolleyes1

Oh heck, here's my 100th post on the Dis :D
:rotfl2: :cheer2: :wizard:

That took almost 8 years you know, most of it being here and on our live trip report.

Heather,

How old are TheFatMan's two kids???? Just looking at the DIS Tag list and their ages are not listed.

Nicola is 12 and James will be 10.

I know that Nicola is talking on the Kids thread, getting to know everyone on there.

Heather

Welcome home Paige..:flower3:

ps...And to all you Wisconsin DISSers enjoy your morning of frolicking and debauchery,it's simply not something us Brits or Canadians would ever dream of taking part in ain't that right Cass?..:snooty: ...But were not averse to looking at the pictures....:rolleyes1

How is everyone tonight?

I am playing Distag, in case I have to respond again. Does anyone know where I can find one of the wall hangers, fish, I would like to get one or make one.

I was lazy but got lucky to order one off of someone on the DIS. She doesn't want me to advertise though. :)

I hope all the WI people have a good time of Friday, we would be there except it is Baird night at the Zoo and it is the one night a year that the company pays for something for the whole family. We have the zoo to ourselves after 5 and everything is free. They have a caterer come in and they provide all the food, they even have a band that plays until 11 and it is open beer, wine & soda all night.

I don't think any of us would be opposed to moving our DISmeet to the zoo Judy. FREE FOOD...let's go to the zoo!!!

My Kaitie is growing up way too fast for my liking, she is now 5'8", has a size 10 shoe and her clothing costs are putting me out of house & home. We had Karate tonight and she is getting those looks from boys who are way too old for her. My DH is not a happy daddy. Her and i are on diets until the cruise so we can actually fit into the evening gowns we have already purchased. LOL I will be getting my orange belt in 3 weeks and Kaitie has started her 6 month training session for her 3 level black belt. She always fights with us about going but she really loves it when she gets there.

Judy, Kristin and Jesse both hold belts in kickboxing. Jesse is a black belt and an instructor here for his dad's business. The business is called Tao Fit. Kaitie and Kristin can "fight" each other if we all get bored with the night clubs.:rotfl:

DO we all plan on spending some time together on board or not? I would love to meet up on deck or in the clubs sometimes it would make it more fun to do things as a group. While I love my parents they do not like all the same things I do and they can be boring at times.

Have a nice night

Judy:yay:

As Carrie said, we have our first DISmeet at 3:00 on Oct 20th at the Mickey Pool. All Taggers will have to be there to receive their taglists and mickey heads from me.

Linda (lindyLoo) is also putting together a Wine Tasting Party for us. I'm not sure if it is full but if you PM her she'll let you know. Chuck and I don't drink wine, but we're going anyway. We'll be the designated drivers.

Hi everyone! Well, it seems that we have found a house to rent! There are no available houses on the base yet, so we are renting right outside the base until our name comes up on the waiting list--about 1 year I think. We are so happy to have found a house so quickly (we arrived here just yesterday).....

And they have added more ressies for Palo on the DCL website! I was able to book a dinner for Rob and me. I tried for brunch too, but the "at sea" days were all booked up.

So since I've been away for the last month or so, could you all repeat everything you've said?:rotfl2:

How's everyone doing?
Karen and Cass--are you guys settled in your new homes?
Linda--How's Little E?
AFEG--How's things in the Mother Land?
Nancy--Thanks for posting the DisTag names.
Jeff--I hope you received my info on the bracelets. Let me know how much $$ I owe you.
Brenda--Have you won that ever elusive lotto?
Everybody else(because there are too many of us to mention all)--How many of you are doing the Pirate Encounter in GC? Should be fun!

Ok, y'all have a great night!:thumbsup2

Paige!!! So glad you're getting settled in your new home. How are you feeling? Your mom and sister...are they ok? Hope to see more of you on the DIS too. We missed you.

SPEAKING OF MISSING PEOPLE....Linda, don't you like us anymore?

Thought provoking questions for today:

Let's say the cruise needs to be rerouted. Besides Castaway Cay (it will be assumed we'll get there for this), and the islands on the Western, what 2 islands would you like to be rerouted to and why?

(Remember, we still only have the week, so we can't go to places like Aruba. They need to fit into Sun-Thur with our stop at CC on Friday. Or you could figure it with a stop at CC on Sunday.)

As for yesterday's questions, I was thinking more on the lines of the time was changed now or was set at 6:00 from the start. Sorry for the confusion. I agree, if the time does is delayed, it will be delayed beyond the 20th.

As for my answer, it would be to miss dinner, without a doubt.

Congrats on finding a place so quickly. You will have to let us all know how the move in goes. How are you feeling since the accident? How does living off the base affect things, such as the kids, schooling, activities, his job?

Glad to hear you made it there and found a house right away. How is everyone doing since the accident??

I am fine and so is my sister. My mom has a fractured arm up near the shoulder. She'll be fine eventually. My sister has had to go from part time to full time day care for her toddler since my mom was her babysitter. Other than those two things, we are getting back to life as usual.

As for living off base, it is ok. My kids will be able to go to school on base (great schools in Quantico) as long as I provide transportation. Rob's job stays the same no matter where we live--he'll be "riding a desk" for the next 4 years (fingers crossed).

Paige,

Good to hear that you have found a place so fast!! :woohoo: Congrats, I hope it all goes well for you!

We will be moving on August 26th, so not for a few more weeks. I'm sure I will still be unpacking when we leave for Orlando :sad2:

Cass, so glad you found a place!

Welcome home Paige..:flower3:

Thanks Big Daddy!

Paige!!! So glad you're getting settled in your new home. How are you feeling? Your mom and sister...are they ok? Hope to see more of you on the DIS too. We missed you.

Thanks Nancy! I missed y'all too.

I need a map Beef.:goodvibes

I know, I'll do a search on the DISboard!! NOT!!!:rotfl:

I'll get back to ya after I see a map.

OK, looks like a little Puerto Rico and Jamaica would make me happy. Then of course, CC on Friday. Is that a do-able itinerary?:cool1:

I got a little more info on the Dune Buggy Excursion our family is doing in Cozumel. All in all it sounds like tons of fun. Here's the disturbing part of it though: I asked DCL if once we are on Pelican Beach for the snorkeling, does someone from Disney stay with all our bags, cameras, etc. The short answer is NO. What? We are paying $85.00/person and we should pile all our bags, clothes, and a little cash and our camcorder (and B's Plankton) in one spot and hope that none of locals/tourists go shopping within our pile?

That's unacceptable to me. Am I being paranoid? Would it be unreasonable to insist that one of the guides stays with our stuff? I don't want to leave any of my family behind on the beach to patrol. Our TA said we should speak to someone on DCL at the excursion desk and voice our displeasure at this policy.

Thoughts???

Thanks Heather, good to know with the DIS Tag stuff! ::yes::

We would NEVER do something like that without taking tons of pics and posting them here

Yeah, it makes it difficult to enjoy the water as a family. Personally, even if a DCL rep was there, I still wouldn't leave all my stuff. They can't be watching all the stuff right? Maybe they could, but I wouldn't trust them to protect my stuff. What about leaving all your improtant stuff on the ship and then putting some cash etc in a water safe thingy that goes around your neck...would that be an option?? Do you like my technical jargon?:rolleyes1

MG,

CONGRATS on winning your bet AND on a great loss this week!!!

:cool1:  :yay: :cheer2: :yay:  :cool1:

We get ours here:

http://www.domainpeople.com/

Have you decided yet on what domain you want?? I am going to be starting my own business soon too and all the domain names I wanted are taken already :sad2:

Thank you for the recomendation. I will check it out. No I have not come up with a name yet. I am wanting something that has the name of my business in it.

I would say it would have to be the eastern islands, St. Thomas (I love this island.) St. John and St. Maarten. I have not been to the last 2 so I would like to see them. When I retire I would love to live in St. Thomas, or Grand Cayman.

If we go back to St Thomas and St Maarten again I will have to hurt someone
