My weight is what you might call "stationery" ...I know my trouble is too many meals out...if I cook at home I cook healthy low fat food, its when we go out I cant choose sensibly - my motto is "if I have to pay for it I'm having what I want rather than what I know I should choose ,washed down with a bottle of merlot and followed by at least one slice of cheesecake "

Karen TOP idea, we did this on the cruise last year, ( there werent so many of us though) we did it on pirate night, but that wasnt plaaned we just saw each other in the Queues and we all went to see Pirate Mickey together! I think with a large group it might be better on one of the decks or by the pool, earlish one morning? we are quite a big group now. Either that or at the wine tasting ! BEFORE we all drink too much, the CMs will take pictures for us so we can all be in it

Good morning everyone. I have a very busy weekend ahead so I only have time to stop in her quick this morning. It looks like you were a talkative bunch yesterday after I headed in to work. Shhh don't tell them at work but I did lurk a little when I finished scanning a patient at 1:30 this morning. I don't have time now to go back and see if I miss anything but here goes:

Cass I'm so very very sorry to hear that Kira is sick. Hopefully this is just a reaction to her shots and she will be feeling better today How dissappointing the house fell through and after you have been doing all that packing alraedy. I believe that things happen for a reason and I am hoping that means there is a better house out there for you!

That's all I can remember for now. I'll try and check back before I have to pick Rachel up from school at 11:30. We are heading down to Schaumburg, IL with my niece and a friend of Rcahel's for an overnight shopping spree. I must be crazy, me and 3 13 year old girls at the mall. I will make sure I have a book in my purse for while they are in "their stores" We're coming home tomorrow evening.

Not all of us did so well.....scales went out of the on-suite window having GAINED a pound,i have no other option now but to amputate my left arm in order to lose weight and come this October if there's a torso just laying out in the mid day sun please feel free to turn him over so he gets the all over tan he craves for,Thanks....

Is there an update on that poor young lad in the accident? He's still in my prayers. I hope he's improved a little by now.

They said on Wednesday that he opened his eyes and moved a little, but the dr. are saying that is not good enough and not to get excited. He has been in 7 days and that is all the progress he has made. They are talking about moving the feeding tub to his abdamen, and trying to get him off the vent at some point so they can start seeing what kind of therapy he is going to need. The mother got ahold of the nurses notes and was reading them for more information because no one is really telling her anything and all the notes were stating that the mother is in denial and she needs to come to reality about her son. I think I would have gone after those nurses.

I think this is a great idea as well!! Cass, I hope Baby Kira is better in the morning.......did your doc advise you to give her tylenol for the next 24 hrs? Maybe she's not old enough yet, eh? In any case, dust stuff to y'all both!

Lindy - those photos were taken last easter and the bridesmaid one last Aug. I have put a stone on since then . I had to diet - 2 of the other bridesmaids were skinny and young

I need to drop a stone to get into my summer wardrobe properly. I have 9 weeks til our Aug holiday - 2 weeks in Spain - port aventura so I'll be working hard. If i can shift half a stone by then I'll be happier.

Thanks Cheryl. So far we have Rose on board offering to help and Nancy had the same idea as me so we can all join forces. Just let me know what you think you might be able to make so we dont get duplicates. Anything to make Brenda smile and feel like she was there with us.

Oh never mind Chris we all have bad weeks... dont let it get you down. I'm not much good either so we'll lie there and bake together. I'll ask Neil to tun us every half hour so we get an even tan.

A mom has to hold onto every tiny glimmer of hope. Surely the nurses must realize that. At least he's opened his eyes... surely its a tiny improvement. Please keep us up to date. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Things like this make you want to hold onto your children and never let them go. Life is so precious, I forget lots of times in the humdrum of normal life...its hard to remember to take a moment and appreicate what you've got til you're reminded how lucky you are.

Do you have to work one extra hour Mon-Thurs to get off at 1:00 on Fri?

Actually only 1/2 hour (like I don't do that all year round ).

We only work a 37.5 hour work week (7.5 per day). Suz already said she doesn't want to go this afternoon, so I will just stay until 2:45. DS is out at 3:30, so I will just get him on the way home.

I'ts on our list for this weekend too. We also want to see Shrek 3. Looks like a weekend at the movies if we have cra*py weather as usual for Wisconsin on Memorial Day weekend. (Hopefully I can avoid too much of that smilie)

I think Saturday is the only possible rain day this weekend, but you know our weathermen, they can't accurately forecast for the same day. Amazing how they can tell us what it will be like 50 years from now.

I'll be going out of town this weekend to Tennessee for a long family weekend. It should be fun!! Trains, minigolf, aquarium and hiking. And yes Karen I will definitely be looking for black bears!!!! They are supposed to be everywhere in the smokey mountains.

Are any of you Konked Kruisers planning on booking another cruise onboard? If so, when and whereto??

I'm afraid that won't happen for us this time around. Our house needs a new roof, new gutters, siding, new windows....blah blah blah. Plus momma needs a new car soon. So unless we win the lottery, another DCL cruise won't happen for us.

BTW, I did win $29.00 on a scratch off ticket this week. Not quite enough to help my dear friend make this trip with us.

We will probably book a 3 or 4 night cruise in '09 that will probably get moved. It only costs us $600 in deposit money ($400 for you and Chuck).

With the Repo in '08, we won't being going until '09. Plus, the Wonder is 10 years old in '09 and not sure if they will be doing any special cruises that year.

Regarding the Lottery, go out and spend $1 (or more) and buy a Badger 5 quick pick for tonight. The jackpot is up to $204,000. The odds of winning the jackpot is only 1:170,000.
