Karen,

Wisconsin is just north of Illinois, which is where Chicago is. Chicago is actually only about 75 miles south of Milwaukee, the large city we live just west of.

It is the state on the west side of Lake Michigan.

Ever been to Chicago?

Yes! - we did Chicago - loved it! - I was pregnant at the time. We did the Sears tower, Chicago black hawks at the united centre, and the gangster tour - what fun! - cheesy but fun!

It is afternoon here, about 1:00. The pool is great the kids can swim and the adults and get the drink of the day and hang out.

We have brewery tours here in Milwaukee along with a few other tours you could do, plus the Brewers (best team in baseball - but not too much longer, they lost again today). Then there are the Dells, which is really cool. Lots of water parks and nature things up there. You could couple it with a Chicago trip very easily. Come in Summer though when it's warm.

I see you're from Arizona Carrie - we've been as far as the Hoover Dam

The dam is great. They are rebuilding the road so you don't have to drive over it anymore. So I can not wait to see it when it is finished. We live in a city called Mesa that is to the East of Phoenix.

Sounds lovely - just remember red the main GREAT thing is in Chicago - ELI's Cheesecake - OH MY GOD - ITS FANTASTIC - it gets my vote above and beyond the Cheesecake factory - even Oprah gos there!

We did Chicago and then Boston in the May, both places were lovely.
